First of all, I said Charlo should consider signing to DAZN! Secondly, you could miss me with that Al Haymon "blocking" BS! Did he block Jacobs from fighting GGG on HBO? Did he block JCC Jr. from fighting Canelo? Did he block Derevyanchenko when he wanted a fight with GGG? Did he block Jacobs from signing with DAZN? Did he block Miller, Farmer, Hunter, Vargas, and Devin Haney from signing with DAZN? If he was blocking, why is Eddie in negotiations with Ortiz and Ruiz, both of whom are PBC fighters?

Good for Haney. I think he is going to get loads of lowballs and retire a very rich man.

Jacobs in May, Andrade in September ... and then he STILL has to fight Jermall to keep the WBC, with a fight against Derevyanchenko due after that to keep the IBF.

If Canelo chooses to do that, cool; I doubt the WBC lets Canelo wait until May 2020 to fight again, so Charlo features in Houston this coming June (I think he's headed to Showtime for that fight), with the Canelo shot set for the end of the year (25% on a bid, with what can be expected of a Canelo PPV event inherently lays out a value to pay Charlo to not induce the headaches of a bid).

Canelo vacates the belt, and though he may be the "middleweight Terence Crawford", he'll still be the only middleweight champion with fights that folks will actually see (DAZN saved themselves from certain failure with the sports bar deal).

Charlo vs Monroe Jr, Derevyanchenko, Hassan N'Dam, Aaron Coley, Jarrett Hurd if he unifies the 154lb belts and moves up, and whomever else emerges (there are a lot of fighters not locked in with places).

Not the absolute best slate of fights, but a really good slate, and fights that folks will actually see (DAZN saved its ass with that sports bar deal).

It's going to hit pretty hard once folks realize that people don't generally give a **** about fighters that they don't actually see fight.

Netflix is still spending like crazy, it's become painfully obvious that folks are on Netflix to watch old shows, and Netflix is on the cusp of seeing most of the programs that folks actually watch on Netflix end up on standalone apps, with the Disney app being the first of this next wave.

Cheer on Netflix if you want, lol.

Do you honestly expect the WBC force anything upon their "franchise champion"?
Outside of an actual Canelo fight, the best Charlo will get out of them is some watered down version of the title.

I don't approve of this at all, but given what we know about the WBC it's what I've come to expect.

Charlo facing Dervy and Hurd are good, but Charlo vs. Canelo, Jacobs, Andrade, and GGG, is GREAT!

Franchise champion or not, the WBC doesn't want or, really, can't afford the feds possibly getting in their business and flipping stones. Canelo will roll an ankle and be declared emeritus champion or whatever, but Charlo is either getting his shot or getting the vacant belt.

With the vacant belt in hand (and Canelo now having the chance to call for a shot whenever he's ready to) Jermall Charlo will be the only 160lb champion that the public will see fighting.

Charlo-Derevyenchenko and Charlo-Hurd will be seen by likely multimillion people; Charlo on DAZN may be seen by 100k-200k people, if that.

Greatness that no one sees doesn't matter to the public.

Charlo vs. GGG on DAZN, would be seen by multi-million people too! Honestly, Charlo would care less, because DAZN would pay BIG to sign Jermall! He could get a co-promotional deal like Devon Haney!

I see what you mean, but he needs that victory to validate himself.
I'm no fan of Canelo's business practices but he is clearly the man at 160 as things stand.

Without that win, he'd be Greg Page to Canelo's Larry Holmes; the "other guy".
