I see what you're getting at but for Haney, this makes sense. He'll probably get a title shot two for three fights in to this deal.Comment

How many people had HBO back in the 70's, 80's & 90's when HBO was investing in boxing in a bigger & bigger way? Idk, but not many at the beginning thats for sure. And I know they weren't even available on all cable networks for about a decade into their existence.
Was HBO ultimately bad for boxing, US or overall? I don't think so.
They helped create some of the biggest names in boxing history with Oscar, Floyd, Manny & Tyson.
Will DAZN accomplish as much for boxing, US or overall, as HBO did? Idk. I'd probably bet against it right now as we stand, but is it possible they could? Sure it is.Comment

Terrible signing that he will regret, fighting on an App, Hearn has no fighters for Haney, what a waste of a career, this Kid could of moved up to light welterweight and welterweight to fight bigger names, I would of even signed with ESPN, they have some pretty good light welterweights, now he is stuck on a App fighting tomato cans with no exposure, his dad guided him in the wrong directionComment

I wonder why Haney tweeted about that WBC belt when he is not fighting for the vacant belt next?
I wonder if Campbell is fighting Abdullaev who should be the easiest opponent or if he actually takes on Teofimo?
Campbell is ranked #1, Abdullaev #2, Haney #3 and Lopez #4Comment

yeah we know Al Haymon is the man you worship the man the other white promoters try to bring to his knees.Wilder has to be the most underpaid heavyweight champion ever with big al at the wheel .He should have been a fighter that was a promotional dream especially with his ko streak.Tyson was a complete moron beat women and made millions. You never heard Tyson getting caught up in politics and very little race issues.Wilder should have been getting big bank if he had someone behind him.Making a million or million and a half for tittle defenses as heavyweight champion is a joke.Thats why when all you clowns say Crawford should sign here or there Same with the fat head gypsy they go where the money is.Im pretty sure Bud had a higher guarantee fighting khan than Spence did for fighting the midget.Comment

There is a longer game in play you are ignoring.

People will say, but ESPN is the biggest sports network in America. Yep, that's my whole point. Boxing needs the biggest sports network behind it. Not some fly by night app.
Eff you're a smart guy. You know they aren't getting NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL. To many real streaming services in America to compete with like Netflix, Amazon, Facebook, and now Disney.
You really think people are going to pay $20 to only watch boxing? They'll pay it to watch Canelo because it's cheaper than his PPV fights. People are complaining not only about Netflix prices going up they're complaining about the overall a la carte pricing of apps, music & video. Nobody but hardcore boxing fans are paying $20 a month just for boxing.Comment
