Yeah I realize he's one of the throw away guys who don't matter.
I understand them needing guys for Wilder to fight down the line also, but these guys turning down this kind of money is just ridiculous.

Ortiz made 500k to fight Wilder, you really think he's gonna get 7 million next time?

eddie hearn offers wilder 12.5 million

john skipper tells hearn to stay home and offers wilder 40 mil himself

and the UK fanboys tell me my numbers are trash!!!!!! you cant write this stuff or make it up!!!! yeah my numbers are trash

haymon has promised Ortiz wilder/Ortiz 2 on ppv...where Ortiz will likely make close to, if not the same, money he would have for AJ

its logical...its in house and helps wilder.....and since you UK fgts say wilder is easier pickings it will be easier for him to pick up the WBC belt and then go to AJ with that in toe....if he loses to AJ in june its likely a wilder fight has no luster anymore and is off the table

smartest route for Ortiz but yall way too dumb to understand it...yall thought 12.5 was a smart deal for wilder cause its like "5000x his highest payday doe"...

      friggin dumb fgts

if its on ppv...and being an in house fight...yes Ortiz will see similar money

and as ive said...all the AJ fanboys insist that wilder is the easier fight.....so if he wins and can come to AJ with the wbc belt hell make even more off AJ later

if he loses to AJ now the wilder fight likely has no luster and is gone

It's crazy that we've got to a point where contenders are routinely turning down offers to face champions. These network wars are ruining the careers of a whole generation of fighters

Hearn offered 40%. Because he wanted a percentage. He offered a two way rematch. Because he wanted a rematch.

They claimed it was a lowball, then it was location, then it was rematch clauses, then it was Eddie. So Skipper stepped in and still got rejected!

              Your boy is a coward.

              And you're a fool.

In reality it has nothing to do with Ortiz, Kownacki or any of the other PBC heavyweights then, it's all about Wilder.

They need to justify him turning down that crazy offer of over 100 million to come back to showtime/Fox/PBC.

So now they need opponents to push needless PPV shows down our throats to try to pay the guy all the money he lost by staying put.

Unless he fights Joshua or Fury, he will never recoup that money. They can try to sell us the Ortiz rematch or a Kownacki fight later this year but neither will do great numbers and they'll take a bath paying these guys now that they turned down the kind of money they did for the Joshua fight.

They dug themselves a hole and they'll never get out of it unless they get the Joshua fight on showtime or Fox PPV which Hearn probably will never allow.

I like Wilder but I'll never understand why he let the suits over there talk him out of all that money and the unifacation fight he claims he's wanted all along.

you do realize that mike coppinger has reported that Ortiz has been promised a wilder rematch which will most likely be on ppv right? you realize wilder is a champion right?

and that if Ortiz wins he can bring a wbc belt to the table against AJ and get more money right?
