Bullshyte! Canelo gave up the belt because the WBC rules state that in the event of a purse bid the split is 45/55 for the champ. Canelo flat out wasn't going to give ggg 45% of the purse when Canelo brings in 85% of the revenue. The fight got made, did ggg get 45%? Not even close. He got it in the second fight because Canelo had something to prove. Think high will get 45% for the third fight? Not a chance in hell.
