Ortiz is his own man and a legit world title contender. AJ is the one that's desperate for a opponent because his big night is ruined.

I would love to see Ortiz step in for Miller, it's a good opportunity and a good paycheck. But let's be honest here, if AJ truly wanted to fight Ortiz, he would've originally signed to fight Ortiz and not Miller, so let's not pretend like this is the opportunity Ortiz had been asking for.

I mean is Hunter really a credible fight? I don't think he is ranked in top 15 of any of the organization unless Eddie makes some moves to get the fight sanctioned

opportunity is knocking. Ortiz will NEVER see a $5 million dollar payday. if AJ fights Hunter he will never look in Ortiz direction for the remainder of his career with way bigger fights out there vs usyk, whyte 2, wlad 2 etc

Yup, opportunity is definitely knocking and I hope Ortiz can take advantage of it. I don't know about AJ never looking towards Ortiz again though, he had a surprisingly hard time finding an opponent for March, which is why he ended up setting up the Miller fight for June. Anything can happen.

Depends on the money. If they are lowballing him I don't think its a bad move to pass. What a lowball offer to a guy as old as Ortiz is is debatable doe cuz at this point the sun is setting on his career by the day so he needs to do something even if the offer isn't the sexiest. Or more than likely the rematch terms are garbage & limit him too much to make his career upside to be lower than if he just waited a lil longer or at least its a gamble that has some allure.

So nah no one is a certified nothing over not accepting a fight when we don't know the details. Contract sh^t ain't a fun discussion, but its a relevant fact for the fighters we talk about.

Joshua classes Ortiz as the 4th best heavyweight in the world, in his interview with the Breakfast Club, he mentioned Fury, Wilder & Ortiz.

I think AJ is pushing for the Ortiz fight for credibility, but his management are telling him to stay away because Ortiz is dangerous.

Ortiz is probably mid cycle right now so theres no way he can take the fight without failing yet another drug test.

Add that to the fact Haymon has all these guy by the balls and scared of making their own decisions.

Kownacki is a nobody and he wouldn't take a chance to fight for millions and 3/4 of the titles in his hometown at MSG.
If that's not what you're in the sport for then just fking call it a day and retire you ****s.
