I don’t think he is getting too much hype. He is calling Loma out and some people are very interested in seeing the fight.

I don’t understand posters at times. They complain Tank isn’t calling Loma our. Ok, I get that. Then when Lopez calls him out repeatedly, posters admonish him for it.

Lopez is getting a huge push from his promoter and his network because he provides the style and excitement a lot of posters say they want. Don’t you want to see him in with top opposition like Loma?

the kid and his pops already said they want 2 more fights anyhow then I hear him say he may not make weight in December even. So is he throwing out Lomachenkos name for some shine or does he really want the fight?

He should fight for the strap Mikey is gonna drop then fight Loma after Loma has his September fight against Commey hopefully.

I’m not entirely sure my self.

It’s bizarre and it reminds me of when Linares was being hyped when he was on that run of fighting bums, making it up through the ranks with standout wins being vs Crolla lol.

After so many years of posting here though this is the pattern. Up and coming fighters get more love than fighters who are experienced and tested at the top level. When a fighter is coming up it’s exciting because he’s getting many KO’s. Then he gets to the top level and the KO’s drop and he starts getting good competition and fans start dissing him and they hop on the next one.

It’s sad that fans don’t really respect fighters who fight at the top level.

What has Lomachenko done to deserve a title shot in his second fight? Why do people create diversions? Answer: Nothing.

Amateur doesn't count in the pros.

Don't ever expect to get an answer to this other than flip flopping when it suits their fighters. Instead, they go childish and call posters names like a hater.

The hype for this amateurish pro fighter is unreal.

Nope. He wanted the fight last week. It's Arum who told them that. It's on video.

You and your ilk keep on repeating that. No he didn't deserve it but he put that out as a condition to sign a contract with top rank...to get a title shot in his first 3 pro fights or something so Arum had no choice but to make it happen. Arum himself said he wouldn't have made that fight if it's up to him.

Lopez doesn't have that kind of contract so that **** logic doesn't apply to him. He won't get what he doesn't deserve and as long as arum is in control so give it a rest with your ****** agenda.

The kid is getting so much attention cause he has been knocking out scrubs and in fact, he is fighting another one this Saturday. He’s been using Loma’s name and even Mikey’s recently in order to get more hype. He may be the future to his fans but he remains an unproven up and comer until he fights someone good. Loma hurt his right hand after the Crolla fight and may not be available until September whereas Mikey needs a comeback fight after the beating he got from Spence. Lopez’s fans may not agree with me but Mikey would destroy this kid and derail the hypetrain lol!

Lopez is a big 135 and his move to 140 is imminent. When that happens, I really hope he ends up fighting the likes of Prograis, Ramirez, Relikh etc. He might beat Hooker for a paper belt though lol!
