simply because fanboys like to hype up fighters they like and then complain about the hype other fighters get ^^

You lot flap your gums about how Luis Ortiz is credible with his amazing amateur record but you're gonna ignore Loma's?

Says everything we need to know about you.

The Lopez hype stems from one simple source--the Loma haters, if which there are plenty among the casuals who DKSAB.

and yes, i think he beats up garcia. garcia needs to grow a little more. haney too. l think haney has the best chance for a long career out of any of these guys, but he needs to grow. lopez already has knockout power and that's why he's getting so much attention. davis has power, too but that poor kid never fights. he will not be as effective when he moves up past 135 and they know it. they are just hoping lomachenko gets old and beat up before davis is a 135 or 140 lber.
beating guys in the ams and winning medals does not assure anyone of pro success.....also what does it prove if he wins a gold and stays am 4 more years than most guys do just to win one more and turn pro later when he could have turned pro the same age as lopez, Floyd or canelo did?

beating up guys for an extra 4 years and winning and extra gold medal doesn't make you worthy of a direct title shot imo......so if people feel hes worthy of one than I guess being 21 and 12-0 with highlight reel ko's should probably warrant you a title shot too...especially when you share the same promoter and its an easy inhouse fight to make and the 21 year old kid actually wants the fight more

the same guys saying his am success gives him a right to a title shot right away are the same that blame his lack of pro experience/seasoning as the reason he lost to salido...

tank davis has almost twice as many fights as lomachenko.

lomachenko did very well against salido, a rough veteran professional with a lot of knockouts and who had gone 12 rounds. with champions. he was a hell of a lot better in his next fight and he fought another highly touted and very fast young guy and a guy hwo has had success in gary russle jr.

those two medals and all of the skills that go with it are the reason lomachenko, a russian who is smaller than most of your girlfriedns and who speaks no english, made 2-3 million bucks in purse in his last fight. the guy has 13 fights! medals don't mean much doe

why are you bringing up tank..im strictly talking lopez/loma? and I thought that was pretty clear...I haven't mentioned tank davis once in this thread

the medals and the skills don't have all to do with it...because if he had one medal and was 21-22 he wouldn't have been pushed as fast as he was.....are we supposed to let every Olympic gold medalist get a title shot out the gate? its his age and the fact that bob paid the money to get him to the top of the heap....and bob has pushed him as a face of his company and program...that's why hes making money....along with his ability to win most of his fights

loma is good no doubt...but some of you are unrealistic about lopez not deserving this fight but somehow thinking loma fighting with headgear and extra 4 years somehow should allow him to leapfrog people for title shots...while lopez has to do so much more before he can even whisper the name of loma these peoples eyes

lopez v. loma is fair game...should be in the eyes of everyone...but it seems there are some afraid that lopez's size and skill set could spell a world of trouble...thus they wanna dismiss the fight

it sure is funny that the 21 year is the one calling for the fight and making a lot of comments about it...when the elder statesmen/champ is the one fanning the flames in the media....isn't it? sure is interesting

if loma really wanted to take control hed tell bob set it up and whoop lopez's rear and then go chase his paper titles that will still be there when its over

Teofimo is clearly a very gifted fighter he just doesn't have the resume yet. But that will come with time. In 3-4 years I believe he will be on the p4p list, he's that good.

Lomachenko should be aiming for fights against:

                    #1 Mikey

                    @ 130
                    Davis, Berchelt

                    @ 135
Commey, Easter Jr. vs Barthelemy winner (or even the loser)

Outside of that, I could see a fight against Campbell down the line, but he's the least interesting compared to the 5-6 named above. Campbell did well to redeem himself against Yvan Mendy, and his fight against Linares was close. I think he beats Linares in a rematch, so Campbell should try to etch out one more decent win against somebody to show he's gotten better (even though him being competitive against Linares should show he's quality enough, besides his successful amateur career/gold medalist)..

As for Lopez, if he wants a Lomachenko fight so bad, he should stop fighting gatekeepers and seriously step it up. It shouldn't be hard for his promotion to find him a live dog to fight... if it needs to be done, take a small paycut to bring in a better opponent. For ****s sake, Flanagan steamrolled Lopez last opponent in two rounds.

Now look who he's fighting, a mediocre opponent who can't even punch.

Wow, he's really going to the distance to show he deserves a fight with Lomachenko above all of those other named guys.
