According to NYSAC and the WBC Ortiz didn't pop dirty for doping. He was being treated for high blood pressure.

      Ortiz isn't a champion.

This is a voluntary, not a mandatory.

The standard is the promoter getting options on the fighter next couple of fights.

So why would Hearn deviate from the standard and let Ortiz fight his cash cow without options on his next couple of fights?

      Make it make sense Einstein
Very simple. He needs a substitute. miller is out and 10k brits are coming to see the fight with 17k tickets sold. He need s a credible replacement.

I got to hand it to Eddie. He is a master at talking points and spin control. He knows in advance what boxing fans are going to ask and he has a ready answer for them all the time. The man is gifted.

Writers: it's better off to NOT include a 'IBO'. The FIRST &major FOUR aught to of already imposed limits to even hold anything beyond their four. Why they have not is a true breakdown in leadership common sense.
Believe me, most fans with any time at all involved WON'T ACCEPT 'IBO'.

The tickets are already sold. They can't get their money back because of an opponent change. It says that right on the ticket. You're making my point for me.

Secondly Hearn is not going to give a non title holder/voluntary a shotv without having options on his next fight. That's not how it works

Looks like Ortiz is finally old and frail enough for him to be considered an opponent for AJ.

Old and with limited preparation, perfect for AJ/Hearn.

Parker's Trainer: "We Put Dillian Whyte Fight Together in 3 Days"

Matchroom Boxing recently announced that top rated contender Dillian Whyte (23-1) will face Joseph Parker (24-1) on July 28th at the O2 Arena in the United Kingdom.

The announcement caught some people by surprise because a few days prior to the announcement Top Rank chairman Bob Arum said that he was putting together a Bryant Jennings-Parker fight for August 18th in Atlantic City that would have been televised by ESPN

The last time AJ fought a voluntary ... that was the last time AJ fought a voluntary against a fighter not tied to Hearn.

When was the last time AJ fought a voluntary against a fighter who was tied to Hearn?
Voluntary non Champion. Don't try to twist my words. The exact situation Ortiz is in right now.

                When was it?

Most people with eyeballs rate Ortiz as BETTER than Miller. SO why not UPGRADE the opponent instead of DOWNGRADE????

That's called CUSTOMER SERVICE. You give them something BETTER than they PAID for not WORSE.

Surely Ortiz team let him take this fight. Biggest pay day ever by a mile with 3 world titles on the line plus I feel like this may be his only opportunity to ever get the AJ fight.
