Heard the interview, didn't sound at all like Loma was talking about Mayweathers fighting career. Sounded like Loma was referring to the way Mayweather makes fights as a promoter as it pertains to Tank Davis. Obviously English is not his first language, so he doesn't have the verbal acuman to make that distinction. Like Loma A lot, but his career will not reach the heights of Mayweather, he just really doesn't have the time, or the business knowledge, and it's already deep in the game for him to develop that.

I think the main thing Loma is missing for PPV stardom levels is opponents, there's no one out there who's thunder he can steal and no one building themselves good enough for a high profile rivalry, boxings got too political around the 0. Guys like Floyd were lucky they had the DLH's and Pacquioa's to boost their profile, I don't think Floyd would be as big if he started off in this era. Not taking away from Floyd or saying that he didn't earn it but he was in the right place at the right time IMO.

Loma is the perfect fighter for Bob after Manny. He is fighting for history and bragging rights while Bob builds his family's trust fund off of his talents. Mayweather showed fighters how to be athletes and businessmen at the same time.

For those listening Loma Davis will not be made until it makes good to great ppv money, just like Crawford Spence. Too many of you are fighter fans and not boxing fans. Fighter fans tend to disappear for rematches if the fight isn't controversial.
