Loma is a businessman as well. Business decisions are made when a fight is being talked about. Maybe it was the "tone" in which Loma said that pissed off Ellerbe. Typed letters are hard to read vs you standing in front of a person when they make the comment. But in no shape or form, is Loma on Floyd's level. That includes boxing skills or business acumen. Loma has topped out at 135. Floyd went all the way to JMW. So the arguement stops there.

Yes Mayweather fought for money...so do 99% of other fighters. He just found a way to maximize it.

The problem is saying that Mayweather wasn't an athlete. Last time I checked, he was always in shape, trained hard, honed his craft, moved, punched, moved his body, went to the gym, sweated, prepared for fights like any other athlete. That statement didn't make sense. We all know Mayweather maximized his earnings in an extremely unforgiving sport with unforgiving fans and promoters. A sport that can drop you as soon as you get knocked out or lose your undefeated record. A sport where people will stop walking with you if you're no longer the "hot act" for that year. A sport where many promoters have screwed fighters out of a lot of money. The fighters who give their bodies to fight for people's amusement.

I believe fighters can be jealous of Floyd. Not jealous of his issues or how he lives. But jealous in hindsight seeing how he played the game in a way that benefitted him while so many become a victim of the game that benefits execs and promoters.

Mayweather wasn't everyone's favorite for good reasons. However, he was one of the sports BEST athletes and simply chose to approach the "game" in a way that allowed him to maximize his earnings while taking less punishment in a sport that at the end of the day is ready to move onto the next punishment taker for amusement.

If he is really willing to go down to 130 and fight for free they should give him 100K to come down and pay TR so they can put the fight on FOX or SHO.

Loma isn't as special as they've claimed. He hasn't looked unbeatable at 135 and he is brittle. Tank should take the fight at 130 like Loma wants and spark him out

First of all, the comments are taken out of context. Secondly, he’s THE threat to Davis so they will always either go on the attack or be extra defensive when it comes to Lomachenko. Lastly, who the hell cares about what Leonard Ellerbe has to say? I mean really.

Heard the interview, didn't sound at all like Loma was talking about Mayweathers fighting career. Sounded like Loma was referring to the way Mayweather makes fights as a promoter as it pertains to Tank Davis. Obviously English is not his first language, so he doesn't have the verbal acuman to make that distinction. Like Loma A lot, but his career will not reach the heights of Mayweather, he just really doesn't have the time, or the business knowledge, and it's already deep in the game for him to develop that.

Loma is the perfect fighter for Bob after Manny. He is fighting for history and bragging rights while Bob builds his family's trust fund off of his talents. Mayweather showed fighters how to be athletes and businessmen at the same time.

For those listening Loma Davis will not be made until it makes good to great ppv money, just like Crawford Spence. Too many of you are fighter fans and not boxing fans. Fighter fans tend to disappear for rematches if the fight isn't controversial.

We all know it is a reason to Duck Loma by Tanks team. Who the hell is Ellerbe anyway. Just another kiss ass. He dont know **** about anything. If Tank is so great they would make the fight. A simple excuse to not make the fight. Loma is light years ahead of Davis and Mayweather knows it. So he will cherry pick the easiest fights for Davis and wait until Loma is 40 to make the fight. Typical TMT *****...
