the thing about gaterage is that it does have digestible caloric nutriance that are redibly digestable because they are in liquid form. Defanition of calori=engery unit. and being carbs esaily digestible even though while fighting the list thing on your bodies to do list is to digest food. Thats why gatorade rocks because your body while digest it and quickly no matter what you are doing. Thats why the US Army only allows you to carry two fluids in your canteen by law Gatorade/powerade or water. And they perfer water because water is not as parishable as gatorade.

its not only about the gatorade, its also a mental game. Vargas shouldn't be allowed Gatorade since when he started training it wasn't allowed. If they would've announced this much sooner, fine, but to just spring it on like this, it should be like everything else which goes into effect August 1. Until then, how about just keeping the status quo? Both fighters should be afforded the same advantages. Otherwise, one has an unfair advantage and if he wins he gives his opponent an excuse.

And this excuse is better than socks.

teddey atlas and sugar ray leonard made an intresting point: mosley doesnt want vargas to have gatorade so vargas cant get any kind of psychological advantage over shane. now shane feels like hes got the edge cuz hes denying his opponent something he might need.

but aside from that, what the **** is wrong with gatorade?

"You have that sports drink in the corner, it spills all over the fighter or it gets on the gloves. It's sticky, it can get in the opponent's eyes," De La Hoya said. "It actually makes it dangerous because Gatorade actually gives you energy and it enhances your performance."

          Thats kinda true........

mosley got his way. so he's already got a slight mental edge on vargas, which was part of the thing to begin with.

              "Mosley KOs Gatorade!
Representatives of Shane Mosley today secured a court order today to prohibit Fernando Vargas from drinking Gatorade during their fight Saturday night in Las Vegas. Fighters on the undercard will be allowed to use sports drinks approved by the Nevada Commission."

What a load. Mosley had no legit complain here, as he could have used the Gatorade, too. And no, one does not get sick from Gatorade unless they are allergic to it. Mosley just wants the mental advantage. I'm not sure on what grounds the court decided this. Maybe the 'grounds' = DLH's money.

                    Yeah what a bull**** decision.
Its even ******er that they allowed fighters on the undercard to drink gatorade.
Bascilly proving the point that they got paid off.
