Crawford beat Prescott who knocked Khan out in 54 seconds of R1.

In ring years Amir Khan is old. His better years are now behind him.

Khan will look fantastic for 2 rounds. He’ll start quick and catch Crawford clean and often and back him up with speed. Crawford will look like he doesn’t know what’s hit him. He’ll look confused, rattled and out of his depth.

Round 3 starts, Khan isn’t starting quite as fast and Crawford lands a couple of jabs which gives him confidence. Khan is still in control though, and backing Crawford up.

Rounds 4 and 5 become more competitive. Khan doesn’t appear to be throwing as much and Crawford is having more success. However Khan is still lighting Bud up with the odd flurry.

Round 6 sees the tide turn. Crawford seems to have found his range and has an answer to Khan’s flurries which all of a sudden look amateurish. Crawford is landing the jab frequently now and is coming off better in their exchanges. Khan is resorted to widely circling away whenever Crawford presses.

Round 7 and Crawford lands something big and clean. Khan stays on his feet but you can tell he felt it. He tries circling again but he realises the fight is slipping away so he starts planting his feet again and engaging Crawford who now has his number. Halfway through the round Crawford lands a big, clean hook and Khan is done. Flat on his back. KO7.

I like Khan, but his last outing wasn’t very impressive. He will need to be at his best against Bud, amd I’m not sure his best at this stage of his career will be enough. I think Crawford will try to make a statement in this fight.

Danny's shot was the one Khan did not expect and did not see. It was a good shot.

You might be right. We shall see. However it works out, I can't see Amir beating Bud.

The original article missed the fact that for Khan to have a good chance against Crawford he would need to be active and fighting excellent fighters - exactly the opposite of what he's been doing.

I say if Khan and Crawford fought 10 times *now* then Crawford wins 8 times, Khan wins once and one fight is a draw. So I give Khan a 10% chance of winning - very small.

Going the full distance against Crawford would be a win for Khan, personally, im putting money on a draw.

I wonder what excuse Khan will invent for this loss. We've had the 'man in the hat' the lucky punch and 'it was a 200lb fighter in there'....This kid is simply pathetic.
