Jermall Charlo clears this fight, Canelo beats Jacobs, Canelo gives up the WBC title to do the Golovkin trilogy, and we end up with Jermall Charlo (c) vs Matvey Korobov for the full WBC title to close the year.

Charlo gets by that fight, and we likely see Charlo vs Derevyanchenko-Culcay winner early in 2020.

yes the plan is to fight bums for perpetuity and maybe pick up a vacant belt. seems strange the people who said ggg fought for vacant titles against nothing but bums although he somehow fought 10 top 10 fighters along the way are now saying "charlo has a plan, ignore that he hasnt fought even 1 top 10 fighter" what credibility you would have a great debate with yourself from your older posts

The WBC already rejected Golovkin's request for a direct third fight, instead offering him a fight against Charlo, their mandatory challenger, with the winner fighting for the WBC belt held by Canelo.

Canelo had Fielding as his final voluntary, this coming Jacobs fight is a title unification (which trumps the mandatory), and the WBC mandatory is currently due.

If Canelo reneges on his mandatory, while pursuing the voluntary fight that the WBC already rejected, and the WBC goes with it, Jermall Charlo has rightful grounds to sue for his shot, and such a suit puts the WBC's non-profit status at risk, opening themselves to get IBF'd.

Left with choosing to strip Canelo or have the feds strip them, I fully expect Canelo to have a rolled ankle that the WBC uses to turn him into "champion in recess" while Charlo gets elevated to the full championship.

The WBC has always been in the business of facilitating big fights for their champions not preventing them, and Canelo vs GGG is still one of the biggest fights in boxing. That's why the WBC was prepared to give Wilder an exception to fight Fury again even though he had a long standing mandatory (Breazeale). They will do the same for Canelo. In Mauricio Suaiman's words he is their "franchise champion". The WBC does not want to be left out of such a monumental event like Canelo-GGG 3.

The only way for Nelo to skip on Jermall is to fight Boo Boo since Boo Boo got a strap OR if Pvssy G mans up & fight Mall 1st.
