None of these girls are exciting like Ronda. Hell they aren't even finishers like Ronda to get people excited for them.

For all the sh^t people retroactively give Ronda she was the closest thing to Mike Tyson in MMA with the "don't blink or you might miss the fight" hype & excitement.

But you could be spot on & I have heard that theory before come to think of it. I guess it just doesn't ring true to me cuz there was more going on with Ronda than just having a ***** that I would assume promoters to have picked up on.

In fairness to Ronda while there is a solid argument Christy & Laila helped pave the way for her Ronda has sold more PPV's than all but 9 boxers...as a woman. Ronda is on another level of popularity then those before her.

Maybe one of them will turn out to be exciting. Or if not then maybe one of the next generation of women boxers will be.

At the very least we will get some recognizable faces of women's boxing if some of the current crop can unify all belts.

Besides Shields and Hammer I think the winner of a Braekhus, Katie Taylor and Serrano round robin can become a relatively big star.

Maybe. I still see the depth of female boxing being a problem. I think more promising female fighters are doing MMA than boxing. Hell some of the female draws in boxing are flipping over to MMA themselves.

I'm not seeing ANY exciting girls boxing right now. I'm seeing a hell of a lot of distance fights doe.

To be fair to Braekhus she IS a star...IN her country or w/e. I think she's too old at this point to become a star in the US so I think her story is written more or less already.

Shields & Taylor can't KO damn near anyone. You don't become a star in boxing if you can't KO anyone. Or you need some other attributes.

One could argue Shields could become popular via hater fans like Floyd largely did, but mainly I still see people not giving a f#ck about her even if they think she is an ass hole.

Katie Taylor is hyped like crazy in the UK but the actual fans in the audience seem less invested in her. And these are UK fans who LOVE the people they love with a passion most US fighters never see. She's also got the same problems foreign non-latino male fighters have in the US. The US at large isn't super supportive of non-latino foreign boxers so its a massive uphill battle to gain ground with fans in the US.

Just don't see what mfers are thinking with this. If I'm legit trying to find the next Ronda I'm finding that rare thing in women's boxing...a girl with some f#cking pop. A girl who's KOing soccer moms will gain a bigger following organically as she continues KOing mfers. These promoters are trying to sell this current crop of pushed females like sh^tty used car salesmen who kick the tire of the vehicle your looking at & the rim pops off.

And if this is just a cheap content thing why are they selling these girls so hard?

I just don't get it. Whatever doe.

The problem I have with Hammer is she seems to be focused on defense only. The problem I have with Shield is that I don't like classless people.

She's come a long way from the fucked up childhood she had to endure. It's a nice success story.
that classless b I t ch is still in that ****ed up place and will die in the same classless place. No way she is running away from that.
