Comments Thread For: Fury's Coach Could See Anthony Joshua Fight in Near Future

ANTHONY JOSHUA is a more realistic opponent for Tyson Fury than Deontay Wilder. That's the surprising verdict of Fury's trainer Ben Davison. The Gypsy King climbed off the canvas in dramatic fashion to earn a split-decision draw against WBC heavyweight champion Wilder back in December.

Aj stepped up and took a risk against klitchko but it’s easy to look back on it now with rose tinted glasses and say he was old but it was a massive risk and a fight he could’ve easily lost.

Fury isn’t fighting aj any time soon so Davidson should just shut up really.

He knows very little, which he acknowledges in every interview. It's become a running joke in his interviews.

And he didn't say it would happen, or could happen, or was likely to happen. He was asked which of the two big fights he thought was more likely to happen in 2019. He guessed Joshua.

IF and when that happens I have fury on a comfortable points win. Styles make fights and fury’s matches up well against Joshua

Everyone should know Bob Arum is not going to allow that. He'd rather lose money than let one of his big fighters lose to a rival promoters fighter.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Arum being Manny's promoter during the Floyd/Manny shitfest.

But let's be real about this .. the biggest obstacle to Fury vs AJ won't be Arum, it will be Hearn/Sky and Warren/BT locking horns over the UK screening rights.

This would be by far the biggest fight, and one of the biggest sporting events, ever held in the UK. The whole damned country would want to watch it!

People were saying Wladimir was old before the fight and he was coming off an 18 month layoff. They didn't just bring that up after the fight. C'mon bro, you're better than this

No a lot of people said it was too soon. Plus he was in good shape it may have been an 18 month lay off but he was in training camp for much of that time. Klitchko in your 15th fight is a risk no Matter how you look at it. I mean aj could’ve lost that fight. Bear in mind around that time other champions were fighting the likes of Gerald Washington and Chris arreola, you honestly going to tell me klitchko wasn’t a risk for a very inexperienced champion who hadn’t gone beyond 7 rounds at that point

Yes, perhaps the year 2021 we may see Joshua vs Fury. Marinating time now.
