If Spence progress slowly to 160 he can beat Canelo. He would certainly do better than Khan or Brook against Golovkin.

I think we'll see the difference when Jacobs and Canelo get in the ring. I'm not predicting a Jacobs win especially if it goes to the judges decision. However, we'll see that although Canelo is a good boxer, he does much better against stationary opponents. Jacobs' size, athleticism, and movement will give him problems.

Spence can use his footwork and jab to throw Canelo completely off balance as well.

I think Spence vs Bud is a very 50/50ish fight. And if there is a lean one way or the other its probably 55/45 one guys way. I wouldn't bet the house or even 5% of my net worth (so like 85 cents) on either guy when/if this fight happens.

Only fanboys of fighters are so frequently confident in fight outcomes between high level guys like these two both are.

Cats who are too invested in any one boxer often get blindsided when their guy loses.

And I say this as a cat whos favorite boxer is Spence, but unlike the Spence fanboys I'm under no illusion he's unbeatable. I probably am more likely to find a path to victory FOR Spence in possible fights. Then again thats probably more about the talent & skills he possesses which have made him my favorite fighter more than I'm making up paths to victory for him vs others that don't exist to reasonable boxing minds.

This could be THE fight of this era in a few years no doubt. Spence obviously has work to do at 147, particularly fighting another top P4P elite fighter in Crawford. If he is to beat him and do his thing at 154, then the fight with Canelo becomes MASSIVE. The winner could be seen as the best fighter post Mayweather-Pacquiao era.

Two great fighters but one is a natural welterweight and the other is a natural middleweight and a big puncher. Not a fair fight and Canelo wins by KO. No welterweight can beat Spence so don't bring in middleweights to beat him just because he beat the hell out of Mikey who asked for it.
