Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury's Coach Explains Why Schwarz is The Right Fight

he already looked good to the fans when he thoroughly out boxed wilder and took his best punches coming off a two year layoff..
and the world saw all of itComment

Schwarz is better? What exactly are you basing this on?Comment

What bullshit?
The draw voided the rematch clause and Fury didn't have any obligation to fight Wilder again immediately, on another PBC show, if he didn't want to do it.
What's biased about saying that a fighter who is a free agent has the right to make his own decisions about his own career?Comment

He's undefeated and top 10 ranked with the IBF and WBO. He is actually ranked higher than Fury by the WBO.
Szpilka, Duhaupus, Washington, Molina and Arreola were not top 10 ranked by anybody when Wilder fought them.Comment

So Fury avoids the rematch and you are blaming Wilder? He thought he would completely outbox Wilder without getting knocked down, now that he knows it's not as easy as he thought, he is running away.Comment

And you are a blatant PBC shill.
Shelly Finkel excused Wilder turning down a $100million offer to fight AJ by saying, "the fight will be bigger and we'll get a higher offer next year"
Was that a blatant duck too?Comment

Being undefeated and ranked doesn't really mean anything though. We all know that. Schwarz is a big, plodding guy who holds his chin up to get hit. He was losing to Senad Gashi (who was just stopped by Takam) when Gashi decided to billygoat him with multiple intentional headbuts.
Fury needs to get back in the ring, I'd prefer to have a better quality opponent than Schwarz but whatever. Of those fighters you mentioned, I'd probably rather see Arreola or Duhaupas over Schwarz. Fury's next fight after that should be Rivas or Pulev tho.Comment

I don't know. I think Fury is simply getting paid by Bob rather than running from Wilder. I'd give Wilder the edge in the rematch but it's a very losable fight for both. Fury went into that fight and gained relevancy based on his performance. In a way, I think Wilder did too.
It unfortunate that we don't get the rematch that we wanted; I actually really enjoyed the fight and thought both put on a helluva show. I don't blame either for how it unfolded tho.Comment
