I don’t get some of the deflecting done by wilder and Joshua’s sides on all this ....first off Shelly , this isn’t an offer from Hearn this is a network offer . Dazn is trying to sign wilder for more that just the Joshua fight , obviously that is their goal plain and simple but most network contracts are for more than 1 fight . And eddies deflecting is just crazy aswell too many examples to even get into , if Hearn could have left his mouth shut team Joshua would be looking good right now as far as who’s to blame but his big mouth has constantly made them look foolish ( not that Deontays hasn’t done the same as per the other side ). This is getting old real quick. Wilder should have taken the crazy deal and if Joshua is a network free agent why hasn’t show put up some money to try and get them there ?? Why doesn’t Joshua say he wants the fight to Espinoza and get the ball rolling. I see a bunch of posturing by two promoters instead of two fighters demanding the fight . Make it happen or shut up . This is getting old .Comment

.... Showtime is doing it right now, largely on the strength of a reputation for doing good business that makes sense.
It's a venture with risks, but that's the sport.
That's why they spent the 2 and a half years building Joshua at matinee in the US, spend all that time building Wilder, push both fighters, and let the result be the result.
Wilder gets beat in a good fight, he still stands as the American heavyweight hope now on the road back; Joshua gets beat in a good fight, and he's still the fighting pride of Britain with the grit/mentality to give it another go and achieve the dream.
The sport would be better that way.
If either get beaten badly, there's a risk of retirement just like Klitchko, the financial risk for Wilder is bigger as he's not earned at the same level. Joshua in interviews seems to say he's invested a lot of his money in different ventures, which sounds sensible. But I guess even Wilder could potentially retire with enough in the bank as long as he doesn't have "friends" like Mike Tyson did when the cash was there.
Personally I can't stand all this politics and networks BS, it was so much better on prime time TV back in the day. I mean imagine the advertising revenue you could get on the big fights nowadays, they could sell huge spots just like they do during the superbowl. Never gonna happen, but a man can dream...Comment

no ppv is leaving money on the table....its ****** for a fight that can be this big....
and you have to wonder if there is a relation to them not getting wilder and raising subscriptions
DAZN not having 100 percent of the fight makes putting AJ in a 50/50 fight him very risky....if AJ loses they lose a big invesment.....thats why they tried....they wanted to avert risk
wilder didnt go for it....and hes probably right too....wilder is making a bet....this fight can do better with a ppv model...the
if spence can reel in 350k and wilder/fury can reel in 300k than AJ/wilder can certainly hit 2 million if done right just in the US alone....DAZN cant touch that number of american viewerships on their best day
hes making that bet based on doing 300k buys? if he was such a huge ppv star why is his next fight on normal showtime? joshuas never been on ppv either and he never will becaue he fighsts on dazn. that model is not relevant because its not a realistic option. how do 2 non ppv stars suddenly jump to doing 2 million buys? i've never seen that.
if wilder fury can do 300k wilder joshua can do 2 million? whats that based on? alternative reality model?Comment
