I put GG in the same stage of his career as Pac now in that I don't expect anything of them and know they will retire soon. So, this doesn't bug me at all.. EXCEPT....
He recently said he wants the best at 160...

This is the problem I always had with GG in the past is talking big and then taking garbage fights. If he'd just stay quiet like Pac i'd have no problem with the guy at all. He starts up though and then his hardcores back up every single syllable of every word he says, even when it's obviously wrong.

But Paq at his age and with all the wars he has had and all the mileage at this late stage of his career is fighting better fighters than GGG.

Lord in heaven, this is pathetic and sad. GGG's over dependence on Alvarez to make his career, to make him money, is beyond obsession. I always said GGG ******** on Alvarez only is going to ruin his career and legacy. If he fights and loses to Alvarez again and by the end of his career he has no top wins against other top opponents to even out the ledger then he will not be a 1st ballot hall of famer nor will he be mentioned in the pantheon of great middleweights.

I thought him going after Canelo at all costs was foolish when this all started. However he made a ton of money and signed a lucrative contract with DAZN. On the financial side he did well. Now I suppose he wants to beat Canelo because he feels he got robbed in the two matches. He's getting older and Canelo is the new face of boxing so his chances of pulling it off are slim.

1) the situation with Canelo and Golovkin are NOT the same

Canelo did not drain anyone

Canelo gave himself a 1lb free-pass, that may not have benefited his JMW opponents quite as much as it benefited Canelo

2) Cotto weighed 153..... so, who cares..... those guys agreed to a catchweight so that they could get paid by a JMW superstar

GGG delayed the Canelo fight over weight. He got the fight in 2017 at 160 but could of got in 2016 if he would of just did what he told the world for years and dropped weight Mr 154 or 168 turned out to be ONLY 160 for Canelo and only 164 for Ward. He started that 154 or 168 nonsense over half a decade ago and still has never moved up or down to make a fight LMAO
