If the fight is so easy, than he should just fight him and get it over with, and it would get the public off his back and show that he is willing to step up and take on who the people consider to be one of the most dangerous opponents at welter.

I never said anything about Margarito not being worthy. In fact, it is the best fight available right now for Floyd. I actually did think Judah was a worthy opponent because before he lost to Baldomir everybody and their mother wanted to see PBF-Judah. One lackluster performance against an opponent he overlooked shouldn't have destroyed the fight. That being said it definitely made the win less significant.

Your right one lackluster performance shouldn't ruin the fight, but what about all the other lackluster performances against every elite fighter he has faced with the exception of one of the Spinks fights and that really isn't that impressive beating Spinks.

I only know of one other elite fighter... Koz and he did lose. On the other hand he has beaten some above average fighters like Junior Witter and DeMarcus Corley plus Feather fist. Anyway, I don't know why I am arguing with you because I agree that he has always been overrated. My only dispute is that most people are revisionist historians... calling for Judah as "the best opponent" pre-Baldomir and then changing their tune to calling him a bum after he loses.

I am a Floyd fan, but I don't condone not fighting Margarito. My only defense of him at this point is lets wait and see what fight is scheduled for November. If it is some hand-picked stiff then I will be pissed. Because although I am a PBF fan, I am a boxing fan first. I think PBF-Margarito is a good fight, but not a great one. A great fight is Floyd v. DLH or Mosley or Hatton or Cotto or Wright. But since none of those are realistic right now, Margarito is the man. I think Floyd wins b/c of superior boxing, defense, and movement. I am not sure it will be easy, but I think UD.
And that's pretty much the only logcial and sensible conclusion one can come up with when talking about this situation.

Well I'm not one of those guys, I have always thought Judah was a bum. I mean he's always had the talent, but mentally he always melts down and without the mental aspect of it, the talent doesn't mean anything if you can't put it all together.

cotto, hatton, mosley, vargas, wright, would all be better opponents and will make mayweather more money then he would get for fighting bumarito. you cant just say "well the public wants me to fight this guy who cares if theyre are better fighters and bigger paydays out there for me to fight, ill do exactly what the public wants" also as someone mentioned earlier people will downplay the fight after mayweather embarrasses him like he did gatti, saying "well we knew margarito was limited in skill and mayweather had much more of it so im not surprised" just like the gatti fight "well we knew floyd would beat him and gatti shouldnt be in the same ring with him"

he will get more credit for fighting all the guys i mentioned more than margarito.
