Breadman is such a biased gggfanboi. Hes literally 1 more ggg die hard who gives him credit for fights he didn't even have let alone ones he rightfully lost to the smallish ginger he cherrypicked his way into becoming his legacy fight. He says he would be fotd if he won vs Canelo

He says "he had 20 title defense"=against scrubs!!! And with vacant gifted/jr belts for many of those defenses. He dropped the FULL ibf belt rather than face deryev & claimed it was because "he wanted to be better compensated for such a risky fight"this of course being ironic because him/his fans claimed Canelo was the biggest pssy in history 4 dropping his lineal WBC title because he didn't wanna give ggg 45% just for having a jr gifted wbc belt. Ggg is a FRAUD(although yes I do consider very elite skillwise) Ggg STILL is ducking everyone & will go back to beating cans & begging 4 another undeserved payday. Ggg fans are de****able for their hypocritical ways & breadman is among the worst offenders
Gggs supposedly fotd for defending jr/gifted belts vs scrubs/smaller men,yet Canelo actually moving up in weight to get a WBA trinket doesn't count(yes fielding was a bum) even though many of ggg wins he counts as title defenses were defending his gifted VACANT wba jr trinket.
GGG has only 1 single actual title win that wasn't vacant & that was vs Jacobs.Last edited by kushking; 03-16-2019, 01:15 PM.Comment

I agree. Bread needs to get off that already, Sergio's style relied on movement and he never moved the same after the knee injury.
Congratulations on getting your question published, jas.Comment

The Daily Bread Mailbag returns with Stephen "Breadman" Edwards tackling topics such as Shawn Porter vs. Yordenis Ugas, Genandy Golovkin, Errol Spence vs. Mikey Garcia, the politics of boxing, and more.
the fanboys still don't get it.....
" The wait and see mentality screwed GGG over. "
Golovkin is 100% responsible, and therefore 100% accountable, for the..... "wait and see mentality"..... that affected his career
to suggest otherwise is blatant ******ity
like I have been saying for years..... they took the fights they wanted, and they passed on the rest..... just like everyone elseComment

yea it really annoys me sometimes
it is clearly obvious to ANYONE who paid attention..... that Golovkin took the fights he wanted, and passed on the rest.....
..... Golovkin would not lift his little finger to make meaningful fights, even with superstars
bread knows
but I think he is coming around a little, when I read comments like.....
" The wait and see mentality screwed GGG over. ".....
..... bread does not appear to be running with that "ducking me doe" bullshlt, like he used to..... he admits that Golovkin waited, and waited, and is still waiting lol
I think that bread is busy as hell, and he does not focus on details within a negotiation, like he should..... he will take fighters at first glance, and he will take fighters on their word..... which is where everyone went wrong with Golovkin
everyone listened to that " anyone from 154-168 " rubbish..... and everyone listened to that "they are all ducking me" rubbish..... which is just standard promoter hype and bullshlt..... neither of which were trueLast edited by aboutfkntime; 03-16-2019, 02:11 PM.Comment

Hey Koba I was thinking same thing buy even more so with Johnson vs Jeffries. Now I would pick Johnson a guy who I admire almost as much as ANY man that has ever lived(Biggest set of #$%^ maybe ever)to beat Jeffries on his VERY BEST day(and Jeffries even said so after fight)but still the Jeffries he fought was old and even worse for older fighter INACTIVE.I really like Breadman matter a fact the guy needs an agent because he is the best writer in sport imo just off his mailbag.Would love to see him commentating or doing more writing matter a fact I would LOVE to see him take over editor of THE RING from the most biased writer in sport dougie fisher. But don't agree with him every time and this is one.But the guy is unbiased and can break down fights on a deeper level then any writer today.Only P Malignaggi is on same level imo but he don't write I could see Paulie making HOF as a commentator some day if he stays at it.And I agree with you on Cotto vs Maravillia he gives Cotto full credit for that win even saying that it was not like "Maravillia came into the ring limping"in last mailbag I believe. But I saw I CLEARY hampered SM in that fight and I think highly of imo a future HOFer in Cotto.Last edited by john l; 03-16-2019, 03:52 PM.Comment

Yeah, can't fault the Breadman overall, but like the rest of us he makes mistakes or just has some ideas that are difficult to square... and of course you're spot on with Johnson - Jefferies. The significance of that fight is in it's wider historical and social context, not the quality of the fight itself or the long retired Jefferies as an opponent.Hey Koba I was thinking same thing buy even more so with Johnson vs Jeffries. But don't agree with him every time and this is one.But the guy is unbiased and can break down fights on a deeper level then any writer today.Only P Malignaggi is on same level imo but he don't write I could see Paulie making HOF as a commentator some day if he stays at it.
And yeah, I'm a fan of Paulie's brand of knowledgeable straight talk delivered in that Brooklyn twang... he does play favourites to some extent, but we all do a bit of that and I ain't gonna hold it against a guy.Comment

Hey aboutfkntime long time no.....read I guess lol.Any ways good to see you still on I have been off for a while due to family and some heath probs but glad to see your still here.I know your very passionate on GGG and his place in boxing( your not a big fan I know) but really liked discussing/debating boxing with you(you also like tech boxing if I remember right) but would like to see you talking about rest of sport because I respect your knowledge(even if I don't quite agree with ya on GGG)and like hearing your opinion on other subjects.Enjoy weekend and the fights tonight.I see Spence winning later after Mikey gives him some probs early fighting a smaller, shorter, quicker(maybe not faster) fighter can take a bit to get used to not counting Mikey's skills. But at some point prob after 4-6 rds Spence will start touching him up and a quick pull from Robert.Would not be shocked though if Spence stops him with body shot quicker. And then tomorrow a lot of goofballs will be saying Spence got "exposed" if Mikey has some success early like I think he prob will.smdh lol.yea it really annoys me sometimes

I was expecting Martinez to out-maneuver and pick apart Cotto with a thorough beat down and then finally knocking him out. I was dead wrong! It was surprising to see how badly Martinez got hurt early in that fight. From that point on Sergio was getting brutalized. It was an interesting fight. Its easy to forget nowadays because time has passed
NOONE gave Cotto a shot at beating Martinez, even an older broken down Martinez. The consensus was that Martinez was going to beatdown Cotto.
I think alot of people forget that Cotto wasnt the favorite or underdog and how impossible the odds seemed. Its an ATG victory.
It reminds me of Lucas vs Danny in a way. EVERYONE and their mother thought the only way Garcia was leaving the ring was on a stretcherComment
