No current welters have beaten the man that beat the man, per se. It has to be established again. My point of view. Unless something funny happens

Vacant since Pacquiao's "retirement" in 2016.

It's a tough one for me because it's so subjective isn't it when it's vacant.
I don't see how Pacquaio can be Lineal when he beat Bradley he was coming off a loss and a draw.
The new lineage has to be started when the universal #1 and #2 fight right? Can't see how Bradley was the universal #2. The divison was wide open.Comment

I think Manny was the last lineal. His retirement was only brief (7 months between fights), but official enough for the lineal to become vacant again.
yet Wilder fangirls, pbc/haymon/showtime kept claiming Fury was STILL lineal champ after a 2.5 year retirement 🤦*♂️
If Spence and Crawford are the consensus 1 and 2, it's probably going to be a while before we get a WW lineal.Comment

We're back at it already

I didn’t consider Bradley the #2 either but for whatever reason the powers that be did.
I wouldn’t consider Pac a legit lineal 147 champ either. But “officially” he was.Comment

Similar to when Floyd beat Mosley in 2010. Alot of divided opinion on whether or not that was for the Lineage.
Either way though the Lineage just gets weaker and weaker doesn't it.Comment

There's 3 undefeated champs at welterweight. Whoever unifies the belts and becomes the undisputed champ will be the lineal.Comment
