      I don't remember. Maybe Manny was because of the Vargas fight, but I'm not sure.

        Floyd was b4 he retired. I don't think there's an actual lineal champ right now

          Officially there is no lineal champion at 147.
          Pacquiao was the last official lineal champ after beating Tim Bradley as they were ranked #1 and #2 after Mayweather retired, but as he “retired” in April 2016, the lineal title became vacant.

          I never considered Manny as actually retired and as he lost to Horn then Horn lost to Crawford you could conceivably make Crawford lineal champ, however officially the lineal welterweight title remains vacant.

              I think Manny was the last lineal. His retirement was only brief (7 months between fights), but official enough for the lineal to become vacant again.

              If Spence and Crawford are the consensus 1 and 2, it's probably going to be a while before we get a WW lineal.

                Both TBRB and CBZ had:

                -- Floyd (until he "retired" in 2015);
                ... and, then, Pacman (until he "retired" in 2016)...

                  Spence is my lineal champion because I think he would KO any welterweight fighting today. There is no lineal champion now although I think the whole lineal concept is BS anyway. Mayweather was considered the best welterweight so maybe he was the lineal champ but nobody beat him so when he retired the lineal title became vacant if you considered Mayweather the lineal champ. No welterweight fighting today has done enough to be considered the undisputed lineal welterweight champion. Crawford,Spence,Thurman and maybe Pacquiao and Porter are in the running. Porter and Pacquiao have a weaker case because Thurman edged Porter out earlier and Horn robbed Pacquiao and Crawford slaughtered Horn. Spence has a good case for being the best welterweight. Both Brook and Thurman beat Porter by a small amount and then Spence knocked Brook out. Still there is no clear lineal champion now. My eyes tell me Spence and Crawford are the best of the welterweights and a fight between them would settle it for me but others might think Thurman is the man to beat. Nobody is lineal until damn near everybody agrees he is lineal.

                    Vacant.

                    Pacquaio has never been Lineal at 147.
