Canelos contract is 365million for 11 fights!!!! Wilder was offered 100 million for 3 fights and will get a better offer soon. My point is it's acceptable to compare canelos contract to the rising ppv stars becuase they will be getting what used to or could have been canelos.
Canelo got jipped!!!!!!

Not really. Did you hear the news that Deontay will reject the 3 fight 100 million deal. What a fcking idiot.Canelos contract is 365million for 11 fights!!!! Speaking of fking idiots....
You must have missed the part where he rejected it because he's probably going to be getting a better offer.
IDK what Wilder ever did to make him such a hot commodity but I'm not gonna hate on him for it. Guy might be a terrible boxer but he's brilliant when it comes to getting paid. Only a fool would try to deny that.Comment

Haymon has backing and trust from Espinoza. Surely Espinoza too could work on Red Alert and get his superiors to approve a plan for Showtime Boxing which he would then assure Finkel and Haymon in recent days.Speaking of fking idiots....

This would mean guarantees with PPV and extensive fights for the next 3 years that in general exceeds DAZN’s offer.
Plus its hard to know Skipper’s bias for Matchroom or his plans to renew with Hearn in the next years which would affect Wilder’s skepticism in signing.Comment

Honestly, it's actually because Canelo got his deal that others are getting theirs. Canelo was the first big deal DAZN handed out, and at that time people thought they were crazy giving him that much when some of his opponents will be mismatches. That allowed GGG to negotiate his type of deal knowing how much money DAZN is throwing around and in result Wilder was able to get an insane offer himself.
It's just like NBA and NFL contracts. Every year free agents enter the market and end up getting more than the previous best deal even if they aren't on that level. No difference here.Comment

The heavyweight division when it is competitive was? America's division, and is the premier class in the entire sport of boxing and always will be.Comment

If Wilder beats AJ he can be a bigger star than Canelo which justifies it. But he's also more likely to lose in his next 10 fights so it makes sense to offer him a shorter deal with huge money. Even if Wilder fights AJ twice and loses both, the fights can generate more than Canelo vs Jacobs/Golovkin.Comment
