I don't know how accurate that punching meter game thingy is but I can remember all the fighters Peterson, Danny Garcia, Spence and a few others hitting it and Peterson had the highest score by far and yet when he hit Spence flush Spence simply smiled and continued to walk right through him lol

Spence spars with Charlo on the regular and we can say what we want about Charlo skills but 1 thing we can't deny is he hit's pretty dam hard. Pretty sure Mikey's no where near that level..

I find it interesting that Garcia's power hasn't been a factor lately at the lower weights and yet all they keep talking about is his increased power. The only way someone loves up 2 weight divisions and increases he is power is if he is doing things that aren't natural. Seeing as how he has been working with Victor Conte, I doubt there is anything natural about his so called added mass and power.

Good post. Good reminder that Spence spars with Charlo often and Charlo has to be a much bigger puncher than Mikey, and we have never heard of Spence being bothered by that in sparring, if anything we have heard the opposite.

I saw a good video from Shane Mosley the other day and he was talking about moving up and fighting Winky Wright and hitting him with his best shots, and he couldn't put a dent in him. He could just tell it didn't affect him at all.

I think Spence does everything better than Mikey but if Mikey has a chance I don't really see it being from his power. But hey maybe I am wrong. I like Spence but I am probably rooting for Mikey just because he is such a big underdog in my mind. Hope he has some success since he is taking this huge challenge on.

Peterson, Broken face Brook, Algieri, some rookie.......Spence has been fighting no hopers, damaged boxers and old men for a reason. Now he's fighting a small dude moving up in weight.

I dont agree that spence is basic. I think his strenght and body punching skill are his big weapons. But i do believed garcia can handle it and make it a war...

Stamina is also a factor in this fight if Garcia can last more than six rounds. Spence tends to carry his opponents very fast especially from the sixth round onwards.

He never tires and actually picks up the tempo more and more as the rounds go by. That's why I think even if Garcia lasts for 6 to 8 rounds he ain't surviving the full twelve rounds under that kind of onslaught from such a big guy who happens to not only be a massive puncher but also capable of throwing over one thousand punches on a twelve round fight.

Style makes fights and I am thinking Charlo might have a problem landing on Mikey Garcia cause Charlo's footwork is not good. So just cause certain fighter spars with certain fighter wearing headgear and big gloves doesn't tell the whole story. There is footage of Mikey Garcia busting up Maidana and Maidana fought a pretty good 1st fight against Floyd Mayweather.
