No, are you? Just do the math pal. Do you know how many households that the free Fox television network can potentially reach on any given time slot; 82 percent? Where CBS has the largest potential at reaching 86 percent. Then to have it to peak at just over 2 million viewers is plain pathetic.

Yes that's true, but they're not far off from what the UFC was doing and for a much cheaper deal. So I think FOX will be happy. And like others have alluded to. With better matchups bring better ratings. The UFC were putting on bigger/more competitive fights. So when the PBC start doing the same, hopefully the ratings will reflect that.

The Premier Boxing Champions tripleheader on Fox on Saturday night, which was headlined by welterweight world titlist Shawn Porter’s debatable split decision win over Yordenis Ugas, averaged 1.63 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. It was the least viewed program on network television on Saturday night.

These numbers arent good 1.6M is really low for network tv. Here is where they ranked in all demographics with the rest of the network programs on sat.

I agree. 1.6mil average viewers were pathetic. That was an even lower average than the Crawford vs Benavidez fight on ESPN which averaged more than 2.2mil viewers; Not to mention where it peaked and that's on a basic pay cable television network.

Thurman vs Garcia, Thurman vs porter, Thurman vs Guerrero all did over 3m viewers, the first did over 4m....it’s all about the matchups and all about the promotion

Those channels are only free if you have cable or if you have an OTN antenna that is able to pick it up.

BS, HBO and showtime cards routinely attract less viewers, and we have def seen network shows with bigger names do worse than this.

The problem is on the West Coast the fights start at 5 pm. That seems too early of a start time. ESPN shows usually start around 7 close to prime time. Go look at all of ESPN shows that don't involve Crawford or Loma. They barely get a million views in prime time and usually with a lead in game. The problem with Fox is they gotta start their shows too early so it won't interfere with the news on the West Coast, cards are usually over by 8 prime time.

Excellent point. I hope FOX continues as well, with a new contract, with more money added. Boxing is big business now and FOX will have to cough up some more money and to add to that, haymon is going to have to get more prospects....and they don’t have to be American either....he should look to sign British, Canadians, Australians, South Africans, Nigerians, etc etc. Haymon will have to do his homework to counter the hundreds of millions dazn is pouring into the sport

Considering those are not blockbuster names that’s an excellent showing especially since it went up against dazn. I’d still like to see PBC at no less than 3m viewers though. Bigger names and better matchups and you’ll get that like the 2015 PBC shows

PBC is taking the place of UFC for Fox Sports, and the ratings have held up/exceeded what the UFC was offering FOX.

Let the reach build though; Showtime has it's 12 shows at least, FOX has 10, and Showtime/FOX are basically sharing 6 PPVs.

As the young talents continue to develop, and the prime guys peak, hopefully those 28 dates will be enough to hold everyone.
