I thought that the 50M thing was debunked because they wouldn't let AJ see the t&c's and it turned out later that the deal would not have been possible the way they'd figured the tv part. I dont know of any fighter who would sign an agreement without knowing the terms and conditions

Yeah, I'm still unsure if DAZN can help to build a "star" from the ground up - Arum has a formula and it works, Haymon has his way of building certain guys/fights primarily through social networks, Oscar has been good with local fighters, west coast hispanic fighters - so there's more one way to get there. And half of that job is up to the fighter - so as long as they provide a platform, there's a chance for guys to shine. Hopefully they can

You are spot on with this quote. Haymon's "business" approach is great for his fighters but not for the fans. Although money talks and B.S walks, boxing is a sport and fans want to be entertained. The only way that happens is competitive, intriguing matchups. Name guys against bums just doesn't cut it!

The fact he actually said “no worried” suggests to me the exact opposite. In any business you shouldn’t take your competition too lightly and it’s clear they are are big threat to them so denying it just makes yourself look foolish; it’s better to talk about what your going to do after acknowledging it in my view

None of that is true. Had Joshua taken the 50 million, the fight would have been Showtime PPV in the US and Sky Box Office in the UK.

Joshua decided he preferred to fight in the UK and declined the offer. With the offer having been declined, there was no reason to send a finalized contract.

Assuming DAZN can get the fight done, Wilder will make 40 and Joshua will likely make 60, so it turned out better for both of them that the fight was delayed.

              • Demetrius Andrade taking on 2 guys no one has ever heard of - Kautondokwa and Akakov
              • Andrade set to take on the winner of Rosado-Suliecki - a fight no one wants
              • Danny Jacobs taking on 2 no-hopers - Arias and Suliecki - who between them won about 5 of the combined 24 rounds
              • Anthony Joshua, supposedly the best heavyweight in the world, taking on light-hitting, overweight Jarrell Miller, whose best win is....38-year old Mariusz Wach?
              • Derek Chisora vs...some guy named Sanad Gashi?!?!?!
              • IBF champion Tevin Farmer taking on two no-names, James Tennyson and Francisco Fonseca

And guaranteed that Golovkin will fight a bum in his first fight on DAZN.

Doesn't sound like the best vs. the best to me. DAZN has already been milking it.
Let me swing this around for you and talk about the future. Let’s be honest any startup business wasn’t expecting to have elite fighters in the numbers they have so quickly so to be even competing is mega. Now complain all you want about dazn but please share a competing network future lineup as a comparison if you want to criticise. Not every night is elite but who else has non stop elite fights?

But here’s a lineup (just key fights) coming up:

15th March - Farmer vs Carroll / Rosado vs Sulecki

23 March (uk) - Edwards vs Moreno (Buatsi and Okolie on undercard)

30th March (uk) - Smith vs Egginton (Fowler and price on undercard)

30th March - Garcia vs Lopez

13th April - Munguia vs Hogan

20th April (uk) - Chisora vs Gashi / Allen vs Browne (Cordina and Kelly all undercard)

26th April - Rungvisai vs Estrada II / Roman vs Doheny

27th April - Prograis vs Rilikh / Donaire vs Tete

4th May - Canelo vs Jacobs

              18th May Inoue vs Rodriguez

18th May - Baranchyk vs Taylor

1st June - Joshua vs Miller

15th June - Briedis vs Glowacki
              / Dorticos vs Tabiti

On top of that dates expected to be announced for July or earlier including Usyk, Whyte, Povetkin, GGG and Andrade.

There are also rumours/potential others eg Brezeale vs Wilder.

Yeah, plus, Wilder's offer wasn't legit to begIn with, so he's able to catch the AJ gravy train. 40% for the guy is very generous / too much dont you think?

Hearn and Joshua both said the offer was legit, so I'm not sure why you're saying it wasn't legit.

I think 40% is fair if they want Wilder to have to fight on Joshua's platform.
