Just like he tried to keep eileider alvarez, Beterbiev, and Luis Collazo at PC and not have them go to pbc espn or Khan to Matchroom.

Haymon doesn’t have any control at DAZN or espn. Hearn controls jacobs and Vargas.

DiBella went around Haymon to set up the meeting with DAZN.

Haymon is only worried about getting ratings on fox and showtime to keep renewing the contracts. Losing wilder to DAZN would be a huge blow to pbc.

Just to prove how ignorant your statement was, Haymon made a huge offer to get Jacobs back to pbc but when the canelo fight became available Jacobs signed a multi fight deal with DAZN. He desperately wanted Jacobs back to help keep Charlo away from DAZN
Nice Analysis of Haymon......and dont forget that Haymons money is not his....he has no skin in the game.....walter & reed was the financial company that he bamboozled ....al haymon has to pay this loan back with interest

All bsing aside, Wilder has to look at the best option for himself, and that's probably the best paying option.

It seems like his main competitors are either on ESPN or DAZN, and Showtime are struggling to pay him what they can, so why not move?

Loyalty is a two way street. As soon as he goes down hill, he won't be offered the same deals any longer, by showtime or by any of the others.

Well currently and henceforth he is a PPV star or DAZN type of a fighter now who is going to start making a minimum of at least eight figure paydays.

I couldn't have been happy and proud for the "Bronze Bomber" Deontay Wilder.
That’s because we didn’t think in our wildest dreams he would be jumping ship. I didn’t criticise Fury for taking the ESPN deal even though he was chatting absolute rubbish suggesting he wanted to fight Wilder and didn’t want any warm up fight before. At the end of the day they have to secure their future.

I’m a very forgiving individual once I witness Wilder get splattered by Joshua and we get the final belt ( yes I said we, don’t bother to post it’s a joint effort he fights I cheerlead) my heart will soften for Deontay ‘ baby oil ‘ Wilder and I will support his comeback

LOL, I hear ya Anthony. Wilder had to jump ship because there isn't going to be a Tyson Fury rematch and then when you couple that in with all these insane offers for his services from platforms like ESPN and DAZN.

A $12.5 mil offer for an interim fight from Arum and then a $15mil offer for an interim fight plus a two fight double rematch clause deal to fight Anthony Joshua from Eddie Hearn. When I heard those numbers, I asked myself why does Wilder even need Tyson Fury at this point?

Also, keep in mind, that it's a two fight rematch clause deal. One in America and the other in England. Or if both decide that they want to cash out even more then there could be a trilogy like a Ali/Frazier or Bowe/Holyfield.

Overall, this is good news for boxing. It's good for both fans of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. This is the greatest sign yet that Wilder really wants Joshua now because there is no way he would go to DAZN and expect them to pay him at $100mil + if he doesn't fight AJ.

DAZN and ESPN+ are not only cost effective for consumers but the more fights the more exposure. Hopefully both companies will sign enough quality fighters to offer great fights for great value on a regular basis. Unlike sports leagues boxing is not seasonal and the only way to continue to build the sport is to regularly broadcast the fights that the fans want to see.
espn plans to do ppv tho

Fans should never ever be concerned how these fighters' careers end up in.
It's ******. Fans didn't choose what they picked for their careers.
They can always get out of it anytime and find regular jobs.
Go and switch to tennis or something.

Exactly, that's why they should do what's best for them. They are prizefighters and the prize is money. This is not a loyalty contest but rather money contest.
