  • Why does no boxer today seem to have the intimidation factor Mike Tyson had?

When you thought of Tyson as the "baddest man on the planet" you could believe he could defeat or even possibly kill any man on the planet.

Are there any boxer now or the last few years who have anything similar to that vibe or why not?

Boxing is different today, you just have to look at the topics here. I could go on but meh.

Wilder tried to do that. And just like Tyson, he couldn't sustain it long term.

Tank Davis but sometimes he's too goofy especially around Broner!

That level of influence is rare. Few mfers in history had that level of intimidation. Sonny & Big George are the main two that come to mind besides Mike.

Because less fighters enter the ring with bad intentions. With a lot of fighters, you can indirectly surrender against them. If you don't get cute, they'll be happy to cruise to a decision.

A fighter like Mike is looking to hurt you from start to finish. You know that not being good enough will have a nasty consequence.

In order to be what Mike Tyson was, you have to do what Mike Tyson did.

Tyson's speed was on another level from his opponents. The highlight clips of his knockout victims were of fighters who looked like they never knew what hit them. It was scary, nobody wants to be that guy.

Intimidation must be something you are born with, none of these super-heavyweights are intimidating. To be fair to Wladimir Kiltschko he did have a intimidation factor, so did Lennox Lewis.

Mike Tyson had something very raw and primal about him, that same look he had in his eyes? You can find it in a hungry and angry Lion or Tiger.

None of the top heavyweights today have that primal almost supernatural look.
