Would not be shocked if your right. Breazeale is a never say die mfer post-Joshua & has become the most fun to watch HW since that L in my eyes. Upset potential in this fight & I think it has FOTY potential too.

So will Whyte be in line for an immediate mandatory shot or will this take care of it for Wilder and he won't have to fight his mandatory until like 9 or so months?

They won't have to do anything as the Whyte - Breazeale fight hadn't been made. They will have to order a new title eliminator to decide on the next mandatory. The logical fight to order would be Whyte - Fury as they are ranked #1 and #2 by the WBC.

They have had two situations in recent years where someone was made mandatory without fighting, but in both of those cases the fights were signed, and subsequently cancelled. The first was Povetkin - Stiverne when Povetkin failed a drug test, and Stiverne was awarded the mandatory spot. The second was when Stiverne and Breazeale were due to fight, and Ortiz failed a drug test. Leading to Stiverne getting his mandatory shot, and Breazeale given a replacement fight.

Sh^t man all these ABC groups are sketchy on their best day & corrupt as f#ck on their worst. We all know this. It is what it is.

You'd think a boxing media guy with nothing to lose or looking to become legit would do a deep dive into the corruption in all of them that could potentially do some damage to them or get them knocked off completely. Boxing would be better for it I know that much.

honestly, it may be the wise move for both breazelle and wilder. they both make loads of money, and wilder/pbc/finkel get to save face and not capitulate to eddie hearn.
My apologies; I was mistaken. The fight is not going to purse bid since both fighters fight under the same banner which is the PBC. Therefore, a purse bid would probably be very unlikely.

                  Pianeta is actually ranked #161.

#160 is Sergiej Werwejko but who's counting

Who would want to expose the links between boxing, casinos, and ********? Different kinds of folks then exposing sneaker money in the NCAA! Takes big balls!

$15 million is a good consolation prize for the Fury duck. More power to him.
