Floyd also ducked both Winky Wright (who he called out) and Sergio Martinez (who offered to come down to 150). He was never a true champion at 154. At all other weights he never fought an elite at their best. His PR team hyped his flat-footed opponents as top tier opponents out of one side of their mouths, while calling them C-rate out the other side of their mouths. Biggest snake oil salesman who ever stepped inside the ring.Comment

A bit was Larry Merchant to blame. It could be that Floyd may have had some better late fights on HBO. The Showtime fights starting with Guerrero and Berto and maybe even Chinox2 were ****** fights all when BHop was fighting Shumenov and Kovalev at 48 years old. Its funny because Cotto took Floyd’s opportunity with Martinez as you said. Even Hauser said Floyd was afraid of Paul Williams, another Southie. Zan Judah was ages ago, and smallerFloyd also ducked both Winky Wright (who he called out) and Sergio Martinez (who offered to come down to 150). He was never a true champion at 154. Lol. Showtime didn’t have Wilder beating Fury. Steve Farhood’s scorecard for Wilder was the same ******ed scores by Showtime’s poster boy deal for Mayweather Jr. Canelo easily sealed 4 rounds against Floyd, chasing him each round after the 7th. There’s a reason why Floyd chose 152 and never attempted a rematch for either Cotto or Canelo at any Middleweight mínimum to the limit.Comment
