He was 7-3 to start his career. He has come a long way since then. Showtime announce team obviously didn’t know much about him as they thought Hammer beating Wallisch was sn upset. That was complete marlarky as all that happened was Hammer exposed a man with a 17-0 padded record. Hammer can take a good punch. He did land his right a lot but it did not phase Ortiz much. The KD was an accidentlal clash of heads & the ref called it so. Never gave Hammer a KD...
I never saw the replay on showtime Malignaggi was going crazy asking to see the reply which I believe they chose not to show. Anybody else see the reply or head butt? Im not mad at you if you like Hammer. I don't see him as a contender more a journeyman, top 20-30 fighter. He did land some shot and earned his money. For me more a case of Ortiz looking old cruzing vs attacking.

      If Ortiz is 40, I'm 20.

Still, I'd watch Joshua-Ortiz. They aren't risking Wilder against him again.

I don't kiss ass I simply tell it how it is. While sissies like you get all emotional I just stick to the facts. you talked **** about how Ortiz was old then- In response to my post-You talked about how Aj ducked Ortiz.

The point is my original statement stands. No matter how poor he looks none of these heavyweights you think are somebody(whomever that may be), will step in the ring with him.

Here's your maxi pad. Now, Be a good girl and scram.

No Showtime showed the replay i believe after the next round. They didn't have enough time following the round that it happened after Paulie wanted to see how it happened then they showed it & Paulie pointed out the headbutt & good non-KD call by the ref. You must have missed it because it was shown soon after. Hammer is a fringe contender in the top 20-30 for sure but I don't consider a top 30 HW a journeyman. Ortiz chose to box but landed some really clean bombs & Hammer took them pretty well. Hammer is a big guy at 257 & he can take a good punch. I have about 17 of his fights so I am familiar with him. I will say that Ortiz got hit a lot more than I thought he would. He did give Hammer credit & said he was a much tougher opponent than he expected.
