Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz: I Still Have it at 40 - Ready For Wilder, Joshua

Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York City - Cuban heavyweight slugger Luis Ortiz (31-1, 26 KOs) earned a unanimous decision victory over a game Christian Hammer (24-6, 14 KOs). Although the judges scored the fight 100-90 and 99-91 twice, both men fought through bloody noses at different points in the fight and both were stunned in a back-and-forth second round.

Not too bad against a 31 year old who came to survive.

I know man. People hate the elderly on here.

Like they could beat Hammer when they were 50.

Ortiz looked poor top HW should pounce. When showtime won't replay a 3 sec clip to show what knocked down Ortiz down in first rd that shady. Ortiz game but looks old and hittable. Doubt he beats a top 5 guy. he was 20/1 favorite.

He won't beat either based on how he looked last night but I have no problem with Ortiz getting a big Payday fighting either of them

He still won and he won COMFORTABLY! Not sure why people are act like he struggled, same stuff with the Kaufman fight. Look I get it some people just want Old Man Ortiz out of the picture for whatever reason and that is fine but he is still here still in the mix and he is not going away without a FIGHT

If he looked Bad and Old...OK so no excuses not to fight him right? Jump in with him and get yourself a quality win over a Older but still Dangerous Luis Ortiz

A.J is fighting Miller and Wilder will probably fight Breazeale. Ortiz should push for a Fury fight at this point. Doubt if the " Gypsy King" will take the bait. Would be an interesting matchup!

you need to pay attention people on here want to see ortiz vs wilder 2 instead of wilder facing another bum in his next fight. its the wilder fanboys making excuses for wilder NOT to fight ortiz next.
