Quite sad he's in denial , I admire the fact he's putting his health at risk to care and pay for his disabled girl , if he can get a big payday, come out healthy and secure his child's treatment that would be great but boxing outside your comfort zone is brutal, dangerous and be emotionally damaging .. good luck mr Ortiz ..

I used to think Ortiz was a pretty good heavyweight but he appears to have declined ....maybe even significantly. He still has good skills but he looks very beatable. He didn't seem interested in finishing Hammer. Almost seemed like he was too exhausted to risk getting caught...that also showed a lack of confidence. I think he may be at the stage that he's ripe for a one-sided beat down.

PS. He has an adorable little girl though and he appears to be a loving dad. That was really nice to see. Makes me like Ortiz more.

Ortiz looked poor top HW should pounce. When showtime won't replay a 3 sec clip to show what knocked down Ortiz down in first rd that shady. Ortiz game but looks old and hittable. Doubt he beats a top 5 guy. he was 20/1 favorite.

They did show the replay but not on the first go round. It was a headbutt. Hammer is a tough guy & a decent fighter. Hammer got stopped by Fury & the Wach fight was an injury. He was 7-3 to start his career. He has come a long way since then. Showtime announce team obviously didn’t know much about him as they thought Hammer beating Wallisch was sn upset. That was complete marlarky as all that happened was Hammer exposed a man with a 17-0 padded record. Hammer can take a good punch. He did land his right a lot but it did not phase Ortiz much. The KD was an accidentlal clash of heads & the ref called it so. Never gave Hammer a KD...

I'm kool to see Ortiz against any of the top HW. What was stopping AJ from fighting Ortiz, yet he chose to fight Miller. Wilder fought a unbeaten Ortiz and knocked him out cold when they fought. Then fought Fury and was played by Fury on the rematch. Whyte moves to mado if WBC forces Wilder to fight Breazle. So who does that leave and what are you talking about?
