That WBC isn’t coming out of Showtime/Fox/PBC. You would have to shoot Wilder to do that. That’s why even if offered ten times his normal pay he would not take those fights.

I wouldn’t underestimate Haymon. He could advise Wilder how to handle the DAZN deal. Haymon isn’t a promoter. He gains by Wilder succeeding regardless, and he would help Wilder make the most money.

Am a big supporter of Haymon because he takes more from promoters/networks and puts it in fighters pocket, am all for that. Hence why Wilder would never take any lucrative offers outside of Haymon’s control. He has that WBC and that’s his biggest bargaining chip. They would never let that belt outside of Showtime/PBC.

To my knowledge, perhaps you could answer this question better than myself but Schaeffer never had to check himself into rehab. In addition, Schaeffer was still able to function as a promoter and still abused drugs.

Where as Oscar on the other hand, certainly was not capable of doing that; When you take into account all of the weird and irrational behavior exhibited by him on camera like dressing up in fishnets and in high heel shoes. He was way out of control.

That was the major reason why he almost lost his company because he couldn't stay clean.
