But yea don't disagree GBP still isn't what it was pre-PBC exodus, but I feel like they are rising up again with some of these prospects they got + the solid contenders they got. If Eric had some money to toss around I think they could attract some bigger names. Even with Oscar getting in shoving sh^t up his ass or being f#cked up scandals every other year lately that Golden Boy name still has value.
Golden Boy have had really fun cards on DAZN so far, I wouldn't mind seeing them pick up more and more Mexican talent. Their Canelo cards so far have all been made against Matchroom fighters so even at this stage they're not on their own feet. They should be in time.

With Bivol vs Smith, Rungvisai vs Estrada II and Joshua vs Miller coming up Hearn is on the right path. I want both companies to succeed.

I'm not ever rooting for anyone to fail. I was the one mfer here I think supporting Roc Nation when they popped up lol. And I dislike Arum, but I don't realllllllllllly root for TR's failure. I think TR will be in good hands post-Arum with Todd the more I've heard Todd talk in fact.

BUT people are gonna fail. Thats just how it works. That in a high tide all ships rise saying is a false analogy for boxing promotion. Most ships WILL rise, but some ships are still gonna sink with all this competition going on. No one is sending all this money to people to be the 3rd best platform or hell even the 2nd best platform to watch boxing.

At this point Wilder probably would listen to Oscar before listening to Eddie Hearn!

I for one can see a day already with Hearn's lack of success in the US thus far when GBP is the main promoter in the US for DAZN.

That Fistianados guy has even suggested he thinks Hearn might wanna get out of that DAZN deal at the 2 year mark (which has been a rumored out period). And the reality is there is more money in PPV, US & the UK, for Joshua then in this DAZN app if he grows as big as he could.

On a related note I'm still kinda surprised Canelo made the move, but then again I think he's lowered his PPV ceiling by not learning English which would lend him to being sold better to the masses of non-Spanish speaking fans.
If the numbers are to be believed ($15m for the US TV rights to the Fielding fight, $35m for the US rights to the next 10 Alvarez fights), Alvarez got DAZN to guarantee the take on 10 1m buys events in a row (with the Mexican TV kept separate to Alvarez and the live event separate too).

Floyd did a similar thing with his Showtime/CBS deal, except that he also was at the table on any upside for the event.

In the next 10 fights, do you picture a Canelo fight, with anyone, that would break into that Oscar/Floyd, Floyd/Canelo, Floyd/Pacquiao, Floyd/McGregor type space (personally think Wilder-Joshua 2 would be pushed into this space, tbh)?

If not, great deal for Canelo. If he's got one, then he ****ed up.

          I don't see it

Why wouldn’t Haymon/SHO want to keep him and offer him a staggering $100M deal?

It would be good for the platform so it would benefit both companies. In addition, Wilder could use a centralized promoter who can speak for him with one voice. However, the only drawback with Oscar De La Hoya is; Like Tyson Fury he has substance abuse issues. He's weak. He is unstable and unpredictable. Just like Tyson Fury, we may never know whenever he relapses again.

Why not? GBP use to promote him. If De la Hoya wants to offer him the same deal that hearn spoke about and he is willing to sit down and talk to Oscar then why not? It would mean not signed to DAZN or GBP but them just doing the interim fight and the Joshua undisputed fights. But I don’t think he wants that, the WBC belt has to be within the PBC/Fox/showtime thing, because if he loses that then God help his career.

Haymon about to make a risk with Garcia vs Spence bout. Haymon lost Jermall Charlo’s 0. Showtime scored it for Fury. I doubt the WBC and PBC have anything to do with that. Seeing the GBP conspiracy theorists with judges well then you’d imagine Wilder would be in better hands than on PBC, and ironically, it was GBP that got Wilder the WBC strap in the first place.
