so Floyd and pac used catch weights to their advantage to drain opponents but Canelo using it because he was getting too big for a weight class isn't using it as an advantage in your opinion?? Lmaooo. Damn you're f'ing ******. He changed the rules to fight at a catch weight against smaller opponents so that he could have a size advantage on them. Did you see how much bigger he was in the ring vs cotto, lara, khan? You also basically just admitted that he used that catch weight to avoid going up to mw so that he could avoid ggg for almost 2 yrs. Why else not move up to mw if he was too big for jmw? I swear, some of you Canelo fans are too ****** for words. At least make a valid point and make this challenging. LmaoooQuit acting like it's all the same phagget. Lol
155lbs doesn't count as it wasn't used strategically like Floyd draining Canelo at 152lbs or Pacrat draining bigger guys to take away their strength, speed and endurance (Oscar, Cotto and Margarito to name a few).
155lbs (which is what you're crying about) was because Canelo had gotten too big, and simply couldn't lose anymore weight. It was not because his opponents would suffer physiologically.

Nope. Kirkland, Angulo, and Lara have had more fights than Canelo at 155+ yet even after all those fights more than Canelo’s, how come nobody cried that those fighters “created their own class.”
Casual fans don’t look at Boxrec nor have registered a profile there to know that registered members can see the official weights they had. Go look at and see how many fights Angulo, Lara and Kirkland had above 155 before facing Canelo. The ask yourself, how come those fighters weren’t campaigning at 160?
It common for fans to regurgitate what others write without knowing the truth and thus creates false narratives against a fighter.Comment

Difference is that ggg was defending the ibf so Jacobs didn't have to follow their rules. So had Jacobs won, the ibf either stayed with ggg or became vacant. Noe tables have turned, Jacobs is defending and if canelo wants to fight for that belt he has to abide to Ibf rulesComment
