Might not be a bad idea to do the Ortiz rematch now either.

Kownacki could be in the running to although seems a lil early for him to get a title shot.
I guess just get the mandatory out of the way, so nothing derails either the rematch with Fury if it happens later in the year or the showdown with Joshua. I do not think it is a great fight, but it has intrigue, bad blood, and it will be ordered sooner or later, anyways. Breazeale would jump at the chance and it would be an easier, more profitable deal to make than Whyte.

I would love an Ortiz/Wilder 2, but the logistics of the mandatory just makes more sense.

Good point, although it is hard to sell Breazeale on PPV. Whyte makes more sense then.

He will not fight Whyte in a million years unless forced to. It will 100 per cent be Brezeale next.

Yup, every heavyweight in the division is terrified of “gas by round 5 of every fight, hold on to feather fist Parker for dear life” Whyte.

I wouldn't even give Breazele a puncher's chance against Wilder. 5 rounds top depending on how heated the build up will be.

I think he is forced to. If the WBC allow it...

He needs to keep making big money to stay on the playing field with Fury and Joshua.

Whyte is the more lucrative fight and could be PPV both sides of the pond.

If he has no intention of fighting Fury or Joshua this year then I suppose he could fight Breazeale first and Whyte second. Makes no difference I guess.

I was liking him as well but to be fair after the right hand he received he is scared as he saw wilder gunning for the rematch when he didn't want to feel that power again..absolute coward is fury

I'd take the under on that bet.

All these HWs are beatable & look beatable. The most unbeatable one is a f#cking nut so he's not THAT unbeatable either cuz you don't know if he'll show up. So I highly doubt anyone with Wilder is any more concerned with Whyte than Breazeale or whoever. In fact its better for Wilder to catch an L to a more respected guy than a less respected guy.

Same with Joshua who's only slightly less beatable than Wilder.

And sh^t Whyte EASILY coulda lost 2 of his last 4 or 5(?) fights & some people think he shoulda so lets not act like Whyte can't lose to Wilder
...or Breazeale or Joshua again or Kownacki or others.

Plus with PBC making moves in the UK trying to entice Whyte over to ITV PPV vs Wilder helps PBC + Wilder's branding in the UK to make the Joshua fight bigger.

Let’s see, because I really don’t think showtime can compete when it comes to paying Wilder what he would want. Paying him his normal 2/3m dollars would be a bad look when it comes to negotiating with Fury again. Fury would definitely make everyone know what Wilder earns in public.

I think Whyte would definitely sell more, because of the british (Foreigner angle), but he already told Whyte he would freeze him out for two years.

The WBC must order Wilder to fight his mandatory Breazeale next and then order Whyte vs Ortiz for the next mandatory... that would be fair and Whyte should not be allowed to duck Ortiz again
