Lol man Eddie Hearn is the king of word play. When he said he sent Wilder a contract and they disputed it then said it was an offer sheet. The dude is good at finding cracks to get out of.
Stephen Espinoza vs Eddie Hearn

i dont have a sister and if you came anywhere near my house theyd be pulling hot lead out of your tummy....not that i need it cause id just beat the ever living dog piss out of you anywayThat is rich coming from someone who can't even spell their own alias correctly, its Hennig you ******ed piece of feces.
The only lie here is told by Espinoza who said they sent a "contract" in the original tweet. Furthermore at the time this actually happened Hearn's response from recollection was 'ok let's meet and discuss' to which Finkle refused unless they agreed to the offer, which stinks of a PR move.
How can you agree to something like this without discussing? It would have been like Top Rank offering Floyd $500 million during his Showtime contract and saying...we have the money but you have to agree before a meeting...it's juvenile and unrealistic, they were trying to bully the A-side who had contractual obligations...because he's an actual star.
Now I'm an AJ fan, and I don't think Hearn handled everything like a gentleman, I do feel like Hearn and Shelley Finkel were largely responsible for tanking the fight. I think Hearn constantly disrespecting him made it personal for Finkel and that created animosity between the camps, so both sides are to blame. I also have to admit that at the time it was happening I did think Hearn ducked the fight, I personally thought it was 2 fights premature, a winnable fight, but if AJ polished up a bit more, he would increase his chances greatly. Now I'm starting to think Wilders camp was equally hesitant, and Wilder used the post Ortiz press conference to create a false perception (maybe also emotional after a big win) and then when Hearn and Joshua actually came to the negotiating table...Haymon, Finkel etc prob didn't want it right away
Anyway a lot of this is opinion and conjecture whatever your point of view is.. you need to stop letting this ruin your life. AJ is here to stay, and quite frankly he's prob gonna fight Wilder and Fury, and beat them both (I don't say that lightly) so you should get used to him and Hearn tbh. No one likes a hater.
Now pipe down before I come to your house and **** your sister in front of you and turn you into Reek.Comment

So...there was no contract, just a terms sheet and 50m funded by BT sport sent via e-mail by Deontay himself?....sounds like they wernt serious, almost as if team Wilder were negotiating with somebody else, like they didn't want to look like they were ducking Joshua and getting Deontay to participate unknowingly in the deception. All along Wilder thinks his team are doing thier best to make the fight and that Hearn is jerking them about. It's makavelian...it protects thier fighter from facing Joshua, it allows them to take the Fury fight without looking like they sought out the easy work, and it drives a wedge between Wilder and Hearn what with Hearn openly courting Wilder and flashing his DAZN coloured panties at him...Comment

Most truthful post in this thread. None of this stuff was a problem though before Networks started tying fighters down. Boxing is pathetic these days.Comment

What's sad is that Eddie Hearn contradicted himself and stated that same exact thing in regards to another fight after the Wilder/Joshua negotiations. I think it was when Whyte faked called out Ortiz.deal terms have to be agreed to by both parties before an official contract is drawn up...itsp pretty simple...i figured wed already established that months ago.....its clear hearn was sent a 3 page deal term sheet and hes arguing semantics because thats all he really has in this situation.....espinoza considers is basically a contract and hearn is saying "show me the contract" when a term sheet is really the first stepComment

That doesn't even make zero sense, Finkel agreed to the contract, he confirmed an existing contract!

Nobody pays their attorney to draft a long form contract unless the term sheet was agreed to in principle. The long form contract is at the end of the process, not the beginning.
When Hearn offered Wilder $12.5 million, he never sent a long form contract either. Nobody sends a long form contract unless terms have been agreed to first.Comment
