try to google shelly finkel shannon briggs.Just like Eddie Hearn tried to rush Deontay Wilder into a deal that would move the fight from Fall 2018 to April 2019 and have Wilder now fight on DAZN in the US? lol
Al Haymon doesn't have a reputation for doing shiesty business with anyone, and I don't know enough about how Shelly Finkell did/does business to know if he reputation for doing bad business either (Haymon working smoothly with Finkell makes me doubt that Finkell is a crook).
If Joshua/Hearn were serious, they would've let it be known from the jump that the "I'll fight him for $50m, no problem" talk was just banter and that Hearn's "billion dollar deal" hinged on Joshua bringing Wilder to DAZN in the US.
There was no value in meeting once Anthony Joshua said that he really didn't want to take the fight for a guaranteed $50m.
end of story.Comment

Hearn won.
And I still can't believe people take this "50M offer" seriously. Wilder was making 2-3m per fight, and all of the sudden his team is the one making 50m offers to the moneymaker in the division? If Golovkin offered Canelo 50M, 90% of NSB (including me) would be laughing our asses off. Hell, after Joshua "rejected" than $50M offer, Wilder accepted Joshua's $15M flat fee offer. If that $50m was legit, why in the blue F would you acccept 15?
It was a publicity stunt, it's obvious to anyone who doesn't have their heads up their butt - especially if you look at how it was presented originally, with that laughable "you have 24 hours" deadline.
“I got a email actually from Deontay Wilder, not Sherry or Al or anyone like that. It said,” ‘Dear Anthony, you said in a interview if I gave you 50 million you’d sign for the fight tomorrow. I’m going to give you a 50/50 split of the fight.’ “Which isn’t of interest. But with a guarantee of 50 million which is of interest. Please accept this fight by tomorrow. Which kinda made me feel it’s a P.R move more than anything else especially as it’s coming from Deontay Wilder.”
The more I learned about the offer from Deontay, the more it seemed to be disingenuous. Wilder wants full control of the fight, NO rematch clause, fight date around September-December, No venue information and no word how he will guarantee the money will be paid I.e. lump sum via escrow or installment payments. But Joshua must accept with in 24 hours. Basically, sign a blank piece of paper.Comment

That was one of my biggest thing as well. If you really have 50m dollars why would you then accept an offer of 15m dollars?Hearn won.

I know the answers would be the 50m was rejected but no thats not good enough, if you really have that money then i would think you would want the other side to see it, go through the terms, let them know where or how the money would be generated etc
No one offers 50m and not want to sit down and meet, or put a 24 hours notice on it (If true). For me this was the sort of things you see in a Hollywood movies.Comment
