I'm not saying he can beat Fury.

I don't think Loma can beat Canelo either, despite Loma being a more skilled boxer.

Fury is very good, and is the most skilled out of AJ, Wilder and himself. Usyk is more skilled, but lacks the physical attributes to win.

Can we just clarify this one for the records - do you think that Fury is P4P a more skillful fighter than Usyk?

Him clearing out heavyweight is like Canelo cleaning out 168.... 100% cherrypick

Now, when Usyk packs on +20 pounds, I'm sure he works Wilder and Joshua. They'll always be dangerous, but there's levels to this game.
Usyk is technically a better fighter than Fury, you forget that Fury was getting outboxed by a much smaller Cunningham until the massive size difference started to tell.

IMO Fury's skills are very overrated in a P4P sense. He's very much in the "moves well for a big man" category. It's his skills combined with his size that make him so difficult to beat.

Fury vs Usyk would be boxer vs boxer. As opposed to boxer vs slugger (Fury/Wilder) or boxer vs big boxer/puncher (Fury/AJ). I'll back the boxer in both of those other fights. Styles make fights.

But Fury will never face a better boxer than Usyk at heavyweight. It would effectively be height and reach advantage vs better skills and speed. I stand by my statement that the biggest guy might actually be Usyk's best chance in the top 3. Would be a very interesting fight.

He could easily have continued at cruiserweight and become the best ever in that weightclass - because the really excellent cruisers always seem to end up at heavyweight, fighting for much bigger paychecks. If he bucked that trend, he could have gone down as the greatest cruiserweight in history. Or he could have got beaten. Who knows?

He is more skilled that Fury, AJ or Wilder. But he's significantly smaller, and he doesn't have a huge punch either. How will he cope with Wilder's power, when Wilder just walks through Usyk's punches in order to land his own? How will he cope with Fury's awkwardness? How will he cope with AJ's smoldering good looks?

I wish him luck, and I hope he gets some good paydays. But I don't know if I can see him even winning a legit belt in the ring at heavy.
Careful, man, Loma gonna get jealous.

But yeah, good points all... I could see ways for him to beat any of the big 3, but that size difference is a steep mountain to climb and I would have him as a significant underdog against all 3 right now.

No one is saying Fury is more skilled...

Jesus, some comprehension goes a long way.

Anyway....It’s the combination of Fury ACTUALLY being skilled AND an athletic giant (not RJJ or anything but for his size).

We’re not talking about a giant like Nikolai Valuev. But Fury is good enough to use his skills AND size. This isn’t a small insignificant like an inch or two of reach and three or four pounds.

YDKSAB if you legitimately don’t doubt Usyk against Fury.

Is Loma more skilled than Spence? Sure. But it doesn’t mean Spence isn’t too big AND skilled for him.

Usyk is going to have to show us something at HW against big good HWs before I go full ****** and call him over Fury.

Yeah, Fury admitted that he couldn't deal with Cunningham and had to start roughing him up. Fury vs Usyk would be a fascinating fight imo.

And it's telling that Joshua is so reluctant to fight anyone w/ a pulse. What's he hiding?

With Wilder it’s not a size thing so much as his length and power. I think if Usyk avoids it it’s an easy fight if we’re frank in comparing skills. I think Wilder probably could make CW if he trained for it and obviously would have a cut.

I think Wilder is winnable for Usyk so long as he doesnt get hit. But not getting hit for the entire 12 rounds and at his size? Doable with his skills..but holy s hit we will be s hitting ourselves the entire 12 rounds. It’d be so good.

its stage by stage, i think he has the skills to hang with the top boys. But can he do that physically? Lets see him over the next 12 months and see how he does.

And Szpilka, btw, is a C level cruiserweight who would be lucky to go 5 rounds with either Usyk or Bellew.
lol Bellew was countering him whenever he wanted, of course he faded, he was 36 and hadn't made cruiser in 2 years.

Szpilka is 6'4 230, how exactly is he a cruiser? And he beat Adamek who is about Usyk/Bellew's level. Everybody forgets how hard Adamek failed at HW when he was the #1 guy at cruiser.
