Put all the belts and lineal titles aside. Fury is the man who ended Wlad's reign. Fury is the man that beat (got robbed) against a guy considered top 2 at the time. AJ can't say he's done any of that. He's picked up belts, beat some decent opponents and an inactive Wlad coming off a loss but he's never beat a dominant champ.
Fury is the man to beat, Lineal or not and even if he has no belts. Like it or not, he's the most proven and has the best wins.

The historical title in each division was not a lineal title, although it often was decided by lineage.
You could be stripped of the championship without being being beaten in the ring for a few different reasons.
Spending two years out ballooning up in weight and failing drugs tests would likely have you stripped.
Cling on to the lineal tag all you like, but Fury is not the champ at HW. I have him ranked no.1 but the title is vacant until we get a decisive top dog.

Isn't part of the reason Fury got suspended was that he tested dirty for Nandrolone ?
Does a Champion keep his tiltle when he test dirty ?

I could be wrong and there may be some evidence that supports your claim and he genuinely deserved the #2 spot but I just think him not having won a fight in 2 years his inactivity and his last fight being a loss is enough not to just go off his past achievements would make him being deserving of the #2 spot
perfectly reasonable due to his career. Not his fault Fury pulled out of the rematch.
Neither joshua or wilder fought anyone on that level before that point.

He is not the lineal champion. That lineage started with Floyd Patterson after Marciano retired and ended when Lennox retired.
According to Wikipedia to start a new lineage you need to be undisputed, that means holding all 4 titles. Wlad never did that and Fury never did that.
Fury knows his boxing history and he will know this, so he's lying.
Also, it doesn't even say that on Wikipedia.

I also guess if AJ connects with Fury on the chin it will also get KOd.
Fury strength is his defence, if he avoids large blows he will probably win all his matches by UD on all occasions.

The lineage is established by #1 and #2 in case of vacancy. However, there could be an argument that Vitali Klitschko was the true lineal heavyweight champ as established vs sanders (who beat Wlad). Vitali retired himself though, like Fury. So taking Fury's argument, perhaps Vitali's lineage was given up on his permanent retirement.
If you follow this logic, then there is a case to be said that lineage was vacant still after Fury beat Wlad, since Fury was #5.
However, then AJ would establish lineage vs Wlad, as Fury had given up his belts and his license and announced his retirement, hence AJ/Wlad were #1 and #2.
All in all, the consensus lineage is established anew when the two best fighters fight, not whatever championship belts are on the line,. that's just not true.
This goes back to when Patterson fought Moore for the 'lineal title' after Marciano retired.
The easiest answer and the one most people believe, is that Wlad established lineage vs Chagaev.
