Arum isn't sending Wilder a contract to fight Fury....

Arum has offered Wilder two options: A two fight deal with him and Fury having one interim fight each in June/July before fighting each other in Sept. Or, if Wilder doesn't want an interim fight, he and Fury can fight each other next.
He says he thinks the first option is ideal, but Fury doesn't care either way, and Arum wants to talk to Haymon and Finkel about which option they want for Wilder.
Yes, of course, the fights - or fight - would be screened by ESPN, but why do you interpret that as Wilder having to sign a network/promoter deal to get a fight with Fury?
Was Finkel trying to make AJ sign a network/promoter deal when he cooked up that $80million 2 fight offer for him to fight Wilder on ST and BT?Comment

I think promoters are not boxing fans and they shouldn’t be. Yes they follow the sport, yes they want their fighters to win, but they need to protect their investments first. That’s why boxers need to speak up more about who they wish to fight, promoters have a vested interest in prolonging their profitability and if that means fighting cans, the boxing public has proven to not fault boxers for that.Comment

We've all heard of Arum doing this in the past. An old dog doesn't do new tricks. Quit acting like Arum woke up a new man & isn't bean counting & playing tricks with deals as f#cking always.
I'd bet 50% of my net worth (so like $23) that if an actual contract with dollar amounts got drawn up its x mill for a 2 fight, or longer, deal & probably with some 360ish provision type agreements that no boxer with a brain & any appeal whatsoever should be signing or its a deal for Fury for x mill minus 30% or some sh^t & the first option is probably worth 1 or 2 mill then he got for the first fight so the second option mathematical wouldn't even make sense.
That's how Arum plays ball. He's done a version of this a billion times with guys under contract who he wants to re-sign. Fight x for $5m + a contract extension or fight x for $1.5m lol. Thats his strategy & he's done well with it cuz mfers in boxing are scared to test their value or lose a year or two of their career if they run afoul of Arum.Comment

And he says he's not tied to any network.
So if Arum still kills the fight after that we know it's because he's lowballing Wilder. Or he's trying to force him to sign to ESPN long term beyond this fight.Comment

Have you seen some highball offer?

Funny how Arum and Hearn both turn into lowballing, double dealing snakes when either of them starts trying to negotiate a fight with Wilder innit.Comment

We already know that Wilder offered Fury 50/50 for the rematch.
And he says he's not tied to any network.

you can pick apart both PBC and TR level of opposition. Look who GRJ fights or who Leo Santa Cruz just fought. Take away Ortiz and Fury and Wilder was happy fighting bums before then. There are lots of fighters who are happy or accept subpar competition. Look at Jermall Charlo's run at middleweight LOLOLComment
