“June,” Broner responded when asked when he’d like to fight again. “*****, I ain’t take no punishment.
That's all it is about clowns like this.
Take the cash and all you have to do is survive.
    And be proud of it.
Hilarious to see an old man chasing a younger guy.
Is there really any market for these kinds of clowns?

        Evander Holyfield (44-10-2, 29 KO’s)
Accomplishments: Managed to father at least 11 children despite suffering from hypo-gonadism (shrunken balls)
Drug of choice: Testosterone/Saizen (HGH)/Glukor (treatment for impotence)
Remarks: Federal documents say Holyfield received packages containing human growth hormones in 2004. The packages were addressed to an “Evan Fields,” but Holyfield’s PED usage could have possibly started in 1988 during his jump up to heavyweight. According to Dr. Margaret Goodman, Holyfield was questioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission about HGH usage following his 1994 loss to Michael Moorer. After the fight Holyfield encountered heart problems that could have been caused by growth hormone usage.

        Roy Jones Jr. (54-8, 40 KO’s)
Accomplishments: Avoided any brain numbing knockouts through his first 50 professional fights
        Drug of choice: Androstenedione
Remarks: Jones tested positive for PED’s after his 2000 win over Richard Hall. According to Jones, the over-the-counter product Ripped Fuel —which contains androstenedione– was responsible for his failed drug test. Androstenedione was on the IBF’s banned substance list.

        James Toney (73-6-3, 44 KO’s)
Accomplishments: 4-division champion/Current IBA Heavyweight Champion
        Drug of choice: Nandrolone/Boldenone/Stanazolol
Remarks: The number of world titles he has won is just as long as the number of steroids he has taken. Toney is one of the toughest SOBs to ever enter the ring and yet he failed two post-fight drug tests. Toney tested positive for steroids after winning the WBA heavyweight title from John Ruiz in 2005. And failed yet another drug test in 2007 following his victory against fellow steroid juicer Danny Batchelder. Despite using steroids, Toney’s pudgy physique remained the same.

        Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KO’s)
Accomplishments: Brother of unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko
        Drug of choice: Steroids
Remarks: Thrown off the Ukrainian Olympic boxing team in 1996 after testing positive for a banned substance. Klitschko admitted in his autobiography that he used steroids to deal with a leg injury.

To look at him, one can assume drugs played a part in his physique. But his fighting abilities ?

Wasn't Hall busted in that fight as well

''As a "PED" it's completely useless yet came with the negative side effects and was ultimately banned due to being dangerous garbage, not because it acted in any way like an anabolic steroid.''

        Toney -
Strange how once he moved up to HW and went on the roids, his physique went to shlt and his power nonexistent.

Again, I'm only ''concerned'' about pro fights.

Lol. I listed all those names with the premise of no Advanced Drug Testing. Again, boxing fans not knowing pre era post fight urine testing vs modern day advanced drug testing.

To help illustrate things for you. How's is today's screenings for narcotics vs 1950's for domestic or international flights.

          Hint: protocols.

I'm taking everything to be The Gospel. You definitely know more than I do. But I'm not impressed with the results those drugs had in those fights.

Again, is there a fight that will show me what's up ?

I think most care with some level of concern, but I don't think many are making viewing choices over it or are THAT on board with a fighter to get off board if he gets busted for PEDs.

I used to be more of a anti-PED guy, but the problem is boxing isn't a very anti-PED sport so its impossible to police boxing for real at a fair level to the athletes. Guys are in VADA or other testing outfits & some guys aren't who are competing with those guys. There is no level playing field for securing a non-PED influenced sport so you can't really care too much about it when boxing as a sport doesn't care.

And to me this PED thing is a losing battle anyway as I've learned looking into this sh^t more over the last couple years. I contend the only way you could truly insure athletes are clean is have some technology that could monitor their body 24/7/365 cuz there are too many ways to combat the testing thats always 2 steps behind the PED users.

I also contend that PED usage will become more mainstream at some point thus accepted just as a way to more optimally run your body. So people will care less & understand more athletes usage of PEDs. Cuz I mean TRT is gonna be standard in a generation or two I feel & the UFC is already using stem cells which to me is a layer above PEDs & that'll just become more standard too.

So I think the guy outraged by PED usage is going to become the old guy shaking his fist at the kids on his lawn eventually basically cuz of those realities or if you can't beat PEDs, & you can't & won't in the long game, join em as the saying goes.

Fair point, but I don’t I believe in the “join em.” Ironically, “join em” should be 365 all year round. It’s very easy to regulate boxing. I mean it’s really really is. What you do is get all the sanctioning bodies to initiate a protocol starting with a HQ infrastructure - lab - solely funded for boxing. You make a mandate - similar to the concept of the WBC-CBP “top 15.” This way no promoters can dodge the protocol.

Assume lab technician salaries and former WADA labs hires could do this, as well as LEASING Spectometry machines etc... then all is good. Sanctioning bodies fund some, promoters and of course the stars.

The grey area is the amount of boxers there are worldwide. As Margaret Goodman states, it’s just too massive. Therefore, you start with the top 20 let’s say. When a fighter reaches that ranking he is automatically mandated for 365 year round. There are no exceptions.

Fighters must be randomly tested, with several non disclosed methods unknown to do public - but with some industry insiders accredited to know (with a license) to report general results for the fans.

Since it’s proven that blood collections doesnt inhibit performance training, then he or she must provide a minimum of 8 random samples per month. This is for all the division top 20. No exceptions.

Also, licensed WADA collectors by contract would have a job like any other white collar man traveling all year round. Small branches, one in Europe, Asia, Africa, etc...

With 17 Divisions, Top 20, 25K annually each, is 8.5 million a year just from the boxers. With a campaign to promote these new awarenesses, new sponsorships could help some top 20 boxers pay the bill. This puts a lot of pressure for amateurs and prospects to achieve greatness by being clean for when the time comes to prep for 365.

This regulation, should a philanthropist(s) or billion dollar companies want to fund clean sport, it’s there. Aside from the fighter fees of 8.5 million, the orgs and promoters too have to find the sources and investors to operate and lease (buy) the machinery.

For the most part I think fans only care or make a big deal if a fighter is dirty , is su****ious or gets caught if they happen to not like the fighter

If they’re a fan of that dirty fighter it’ll conveniently get swept swept under the rug and minimized

Canelo got popped less then a year ago , yet there’s no real lasting effects on his reputation or past accomplishments and seems to be all but forgotten . Marquez was most likely dirty as f.uck when he KO’d PAC yet it’s barely mentioned. PAC was most likely dirty when he went on that his insane run of his but few will not give him full credit. Mayweather took a IV before PAC and 4 years later there’s still PAC fans not giving him credit for the win because of it

Fans say they want a clean sport but It’s only ever a issue when it’s a fighter you don’t like who gets themselves caught or in a questionable situation. Then the pitchforks come out

I've stated myself in the past that the top whatever boxers should be tested cuz its the most logical way to see that the most seen & talked about boxers are being tested as best as possible, but again the PED users are 2 steps ahead & its a losing fight.

PED usage is gonna stay 2 steps ahead as is the nature of gaining edges. The only way to secure a clean sport today is to have some monitoring system INSIDE a boxer that can watch changes in the body. And as far as I know that doesn't exist today or if it does its not feasible cost-wise. 5 or 10 years from now maybe something like that exists or is financial feasible, but it won't be as effective cuz the PED usage elusiveness has already been moved up a couple levels. Its a game of cat & mouse where the mouse has a cheat code to the system & the cat is deaf & missing a leg.

Fighters must be randomly tested, with several non disclosed methods unknown to do public - but with some industry insiders accredited to know (with a license) to report general results for the fans.
The only way this is going to be as effective as it even could be is if they do it like the Olympics do where they test samples YEARS later when their tests catch up with what the PED users are doing & you retroactively take away wins & belts. But to me that seems too little too late.

The industry insiders aren't on top of anything like the PED users are. The tests they come up don't need to be secretive. It'd actually be better to be open & even lie to suggest you have testing abilities you don't to just make mfers nervous about being tested & come with with more aggressive policies on missing tests.

Again this is all chasing a mouse with a cheat code & ultimately a losing battle doe. And its not a money thing as you bring up a plan to pay for all this. Its a how effective can OST really be thing? Its a how much do promoters & networks really want it thing? How much do boxers really want it thing? And even how much do us as fans really want it thing? To all those questions the answer is clearly & without dispute NOT ENOUGH.
