How many NSB posters care if a fighter has been previously caught using PED's?

Just wondering how many people care if top name fighters have been caught using PEDs.

Fury, Canelo, BJS, Ortiz, Whyte and even the likes of Vitali, RJR, Shane Mosley all still have a lot of fans.

    But does anyone really care?

Just for the record, I do.

I think most elite-level athletes (in any sport) will get an advantage any way they can.

This documentary was an eye-opener, talking about the drug-doping scandal, re: Russia in the Olympics - Icarus

An interesting development that is fast up-and-coming, is 'gene doping', i.e. somatic gene editing. It's already on WADA's prohibited list, but it raises so many questions. For instance, when we look at F1 racing (or Nascar, say, for you 'Muricans), I think most people involved want to see a level playing field, to a large extent... I mean, in terms of the machines they are driving, it's no fun watching a Ferrari blast out a Skoda...

...similarly, you might say, 'Well, if a fighter is not as blessed genetically, gene-doping levels the playing field, and then we get better fights as a result'...

I care. Just... not enough to actually stop watching 'em. So for practical purposes effectively I might as well not give a damn.

Bit poor really if you think about it like that... more like lip service than really caring. Mmmm. Might have to reconsider my viewing habits.

Most people say they care but they dont as long as the fighter in question fits their agenda and keeps on winning.

Agreed. What can we do about it though? If the authorities let these fighters off, we might as well watch them.

            Kinda

I would watch a roided league or some such if they had it. I don't give a **** if a fighter gets ever advantage he can.

In the current sport it means ****ing up the schedule and I can't have that. So I don't like it when they fail but I'm not one of these folks who thinks boxing is a pure sport or even cares to see it be one.

It annoys me when they cheat, and i'm glad when they're caught.

But to be honest, I tend to end up forgetting anyway. The like of Ortiz, I'd forgotten that he'd been banned.

I care but not necessarily forever. Canelo got caught for instance but now he tests 365 VADA. That he is doing that now means a lot more to me than fighters that might also be cheating but only test right before fights.

depends on what they get popped for too. There are fully legal substances that are on the banned list. Bermane Stiverne got a PED suspension for eating a protein bar. I'm going to give a situation like that more leniency than someone pissing out anabolic steroids.

The fact that you have Tyson Fury in your list shows you're a twat
