I wouldn't pick Machado to beat Davis, but he definitely got screwed over by the WBA - he at least deserves the chance to fight to prove who the man is and the payday that would come with it - that win over Jezreel Corrales was a legit one over another good fighter after all. The thing is, this situation actually compromises Davis' standing as a fighter rather than enhances it, because it only makes him look like a ducker and a beneficiary of corruption.

The reality is that there are naive fans in this sport, and think everything is clear cut from the back end of reading biased or affiliated reporting.

What's the most likely scenario that Gervonta Davis has this position? From Jezreel Coralles, a Panamanian native going stemming from a "vacant" and domestic version of the Panamanian "Federico" WBA title to then fighting for the "Interim WBA" (and not Regular) to then a shot at Uchiyama's Super version. Talk about skipping steps.

It's obvious Haymon has connects that saw this WBA favoritism and "corruption" that the WBA had to forfeit foul play and provide Davis his merited spot. Machado is simply stating that he doesn't understand the steps from Coralles that involved him. So Machado has no fault on his part, and obviously doesn't understand that TMT blackmailed the WBA for their corruption favoring their Panamanian Corraels.

Meanwhile Boxingscene makes more stories during Davis fight week to defame Alvarez and the WBA Regular with false rumours.

This is the problem with boxing. Reporters pretend and not give theory and just state "scam" and make it seem it's TMT's fault.

Keith Idec knows very well this is not Davis' fault. Idec respects Mares. In theory if Mares beat Davis, would the same articles question what happened with Corrales while affecting Mares' position.

        I'd say no.

I blame boxers like GGG, Pacquiao and Canelo for paying sanctioning fees for a paper belt just to claim they're a champion

Heres what I don't understand, why don't fighters sue the btch ass WBA then? This is a slam dunk case for any attorney to win vs the WBA since they had already sanctioned the fight as being for the Super-Super belt, the "world" belt wasn't listed anywhere as being filled & then they suddenly sent Machado a letter in the mail basically saying that he was being demoted & instead given basically a jr belt so that Tank can be gifted the super belt.(tank is a protected cherrypicker who should grow some balls & drop fmj if he keeps matching him vs c levels.)

So to me at a certain pt the fighter needs to take it into their own hands, but as i've noticed many times before, oftentimes the fighter being screwed doesn't want the sanctioning body to force them to fight the "champ" right away anyways,as like in Machados case he gets to fill his pockets vs C/D level opponents until their finally forced to fight the"champ" for more money than it would've been.

I've seen fighters like Stiverne/Alvarez willing to take step aside money for eternity rather than force the issue,I've seen orgs like the WBC openly claim they can be sued if they didn't obey their bs rules etc. So it is seemingly possible to sue corrupt pos orgs like WBA etc., but the fighters would rather cry about it & make more money rather than fight it & ultimately make less, also they surely prefer facing nobodies while feeling like the true super champ rather than losing then going back to being a contender.

wba are just as corrupt as the wbc. both of them should be destroyed.
