Spence blamed banners but later said he just doesn't want Crawford. He's taking an easier route, said he's not fighting Crawford,

It's a verifiable mater of record. A little surprised that others haven't watched the video, it's on line.

There isn't a single WW champ or contender who doesn't sweat Terrence Crawford. Bud will fight the big names soon enough and he's going to beat all of them.

What's up for debate is why Danny didn't respond.
I have read nothing about Khan having to "counter-offer." I think you're making assumptions.

Top Rank wanted Terence Crawford-Danny Garcia pay-per-view fight in March 2019
        Mike Coppinger
        The Ring Magazine

        November 27, 2018:

Moretti says he spoke with Angel two-and-a-half weeks before an April 20 bout with Granados on FOX was announced on November 13. That means it’s likely Garcia (34-2, 20 KOs) and Granados already had an agreement in place when Moretti and Angel chatted. Danny didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking comment from The Ring...

duBoef and Moretti say the offer was made directly to Angel rather than Al Haymon to ensure the fighter received information about the opportunity. Top Rank chairman and Haymon haven’t done business with each other in years, so they claim there was fear Haymon wouldn’t present such an offer to his fighter.

“I don’t know who to present to with these guys,” duBoef argued. “They say they’re the promoter, they’re not the promoters. They say they’re the agents, they’re not the agents.”

If Angel told Moretti they wanted to discuss the fight further, duBoef says, at that point Top Rank would have reached out to Haymon to try and hammer out the deal. “I just want to make sure these guys get the offer,” he said.

“They know who represents these guys. We’re a management company, we’ve always been a management company,” Tim Smith, vice president of communications for PBC, told The Ring. “Phone numbers haven’t changed.”

That's what I thought Loma said too, but even in this article they say:

"A unification fight with WBO titlist Maurice Hooker (25-0-3, 17 KO) is conceivable. A clash with lightweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko (12-1, 9 KO), who shares promoter Top Rank with Ramirez, is as well. Lomachenko going for a title in a fourth weight class seems an eventual certainty."

          Certainty? Really?

How do u know he signed it on that premise? Hes fought weak opponents under arum so why would that change at welter? Hes happy fighting c level fighters its that simple.

Well the fact that it was mentioned in the announcement of his new contract shows that was an important factor. Arum is sending out offers and openly saying he’s willing to do a joint ppv. It’s unreasonable to suggest that he needs to sign with one promoter to get fights. Arum has done well by Crawford financially I can understand why he stayed. My point is I don’t think Crawford is solely to blame. I mean, you have Spence openly saying he wants to take care of business his side of the street first, what would you like him to do about that?

Honestly I can’t think of many people he should’ve fought but didn’t apart from Pacquiao but that was far from his fault.

Crawford was a free agent and had the opportunity to do whatever he wanted. He chose to re-up with Top Rank knowing no welters existed, and the contentious relationship with Haymon. You make your bed, you lay in it.

If those fighters go to war with each other, your argument is lost. If they avoid each other, than I will accept it.

I do not think your point is right. Crawford is on the wrong side of the street and needs to make concessions to make those fights happen. Those other 147 fighters do not need him, they have each other.

I hope Loma does not move up anymore. Honestly. The man is a talented treasure, but there are limits. He is truly up against the top level of his power, and he is going to fight people at 135 who should be 140 or more. That is enough moving up for a guy who should be at 130 in my opinion. Hopefully, his handlers have the big picture in mind.

Even if he doesn't beat them all, he will fight them all. He could have stayed at 140 and owned that division until retirement. He moved up to get those fights, and when he resigned he must have made sure everyone understood he expected to fight big names.

In all fairness: None of the other 147 will avoid him. All these guys have proven they will fight. I just hope they begin the round robin already.
