Listen...separate purse size from popularity. More people know of Wilder and Fury now than people know Joshua. Why? Those two have appealed socially in America and the UK due to the antics dismayed during their promotion and the dramatic ending of the fight. Joshua is wildly popular in the UK but has zero American appeal. Belts don't give you that. My example is that Crawford has belts with no social appeal, thus his numbers are pedestrian.
Listen, there are three types of fans that support fighters. Boxing fans, sports fans, casuals. Wilder and Fury NOW tap into all three both locally and across the pond. Fury is in GQ magazine for goodness sake! This isn't about sides, it's just reality. Joshua hasn't fought anybody or done anything that's going to reach a casual that isn't from the UK.
