Groves, who last fought when he was knocked out by Callum Smith in Saudi Arabia in the final of the World Boxing Super Series in September, said the desire to continue in the sport "had left me".

As a fighter i respect froch but he comes across as the most salty arrogant pr1ck going.

Stay classy Cobra. I will say that Carl came back to defeat Groves in two incredibly violent fights but I thought George nearly killed him in that first fight and I thought he was very lucky the ref was willing to give him alot of leeway. Groves would have probably lost that first fight regardless but I didn't feel the ref gave "Saint" the same leeway in that contest.

I will say that I will miss Groves, don't know much about him personally but he's seemed decent guy and he gave some great wars in the ring. Groves had some entertaining fights, his fight worth Chudinov was very compelling. The Russian kept coming and I thought he'd ultimately overwhelmed Groves but George finally stopped his onslaught in brutal fashion. Good luck in retirement champ.

Froch was overrated and nobody misses him. The only thing I wish I got to see was GGG knock him out.
