Lopez did much better than I expected, to the point that I'm doubting Thurman's ability to win against the upper echelon guys at 147 now. That said, Thurman wasn't close to being stopped.

Well sure, as flat footed as Lopez is. He hasn't the footwork to get away, even if he was chasing Run Time all night.

i think some people didn't read the article or lopez statement. he is saying that if it was the other way around, he being hurt in the seventh instead of thurman, the same referee probably would've stopped the fight.

he got a debatable win against porter so it was always in doubt. crawford and spence seem like too much for him so i think he hurts himself so he can fight a tune up every year and avoid the crushing loss to his ego

Exactly right, Lopez still missed a lot of shots while Thurman was moving, needed more composure

Stop it bro. Don’t make it out to be like that now. Lol good fight from him and he put hands on Thurman after in that rd and for the rest of the fight.

Although you only won a couple of rds. Tops, You fought well and gave the fans a good show. Don't ruin it by b****ing about boxing politics or whatever it was you felt was at play.

                    Soar Looser Lopez, he is.
He hints on bad refferrying after it's a FACT that job was done perfectly well in that situation. Now he nakes excuses blaming anyine he can.
You are not a champion and you were loosing round by round so why would ref stop the fight prematurely without champion even being knocked down?

It's a disgrace to say like this

Keith wasn’t hurt enough to warrant a stoppage. Definitely a 10-8 round though which the judges correctly scored.

And I agree it probably would have been stopped if it was the other way around.
